royalbluethruandthru (U10506167) posted Nov 25, 2007 McLeish would be a great asset for Birmingham. He has shown as Scotland coach that he has good credentials. Bruce took Blues as far as he could. He did well for us, but I think a more tactically-minded manager, who is tougher and more charismatic is what Blues need. Gold and Sullivan should buy Yeung's stake back (as they have said they may do, if the takeover hasn't been completed by late December). The whole takeover process has not helped the club in the first half of this season and is an embarassment.

deepblue55 (U2392174) posted Nov 26, 2007 Nice one Stevethebluenose! I was one of the cynics present in the kop on saturday and I couldn't believe the moaning that was going on around me about the performance. It was extravagant even by bluenose standards! Portsmouth are a good side on a roll right now and we hung in there until undone by a goslkeeping error and a wonder strike from a croatian ( sounds familiar?)

penguinkit1972 (U2775777) posted Nov 26, 2007 I've just read a really interesting article on Gary Johnson the manager of Bristol City, described as 'modern-day' Don Revie. Bristol City haven't been out of the top six all season. so why not look to the lower divisions, where you are likely to get someone who is committed and will enjoy the challenge of managing a premiership club. Rather than some prima-dona who is in it for the money?
