A bit harsh there jpdesa. I think we're taking it on the chin and being quite self critical. To be absolutely clear : we're crap, and we know we are! But we are a football nation, although I have to say that it wasn't just our players who were put to shame by Croatia, their fans are beter than ours aswell judging by the noise they made throughout...

Nah, Bilic was quite refreshing in his candour and refusal to pander to our egos. 'Wake Up. we are a better team than you.' The man should be applauded for his honesty. I can't forgive him for getting Laurent Blanc sent of in 98 though.

I feed up with all this talk about the English fans being arrogant.FM if we didn't love the game and our team so much then we wouldn't be much of a fan now would we.So to all those that keep slating us GGF

As long as we keep putting vastly over-rated players like Lampard, Gerrard, ferdinand, Sick-note Owen, Neville in the team, we will never win anything. The press hype our players up into thinking they are world class, and as soon as they meet even the slightest decent opposition, they fold.
