Defending a one goal advantage

Euro 2008 England

I dearly hope Steve McClaren isn't going to use the often employed and often failed England tactic of defending a one goal advantage.
If we do go a goal up, which I am certain we will, I would like to see England actually apply more pressure on Croatia rather than sit back and play with 10 men behind the ball.
Once bitten twice shy...we have been bitten on many an occassion and I hope the man isn't dumb enough to come up with the same stupid decision again.

Three best Croatian players of the match and the keeper to get a Mercedes automobile each from Mr Fedun if they beat England -- way to go!!! Repaying the English with the same currency...

@roakey - there's no chance that you'll crush us. I just hope it will be a great entertaining match.

And one other thing...don,t get your hopes up , so you don't end up disappointed and with tears in your eyes.

Poor S.Mclaren... your media and fans are gonna use his arse for target practice after this is all over

WolverineW, i find some of your comments quite funny. Are you trying to get a rise out of us by any chance?

Nobody here is saying we will crush Croatia - some of us may hope, but for the most part we are respecting them as a quality international side. However, i do not believe Croatia have many "world class" players either - so what is you're point?

It is a shame that Mclaren is doomed as a scapegoat like every other England manager before him, if things should go wrong, but that is the fickle mob for you.

I, like you, am just hoping for a good match on wednesday... may the best side win.
