Who said this was going to be boring?

End to end match, brilliant game for fans and neutrals alike.

The Welsh youngsters (9 whom are legible for U21) gave a great account of themselves, and Ireland showed that they can play classy stuff.
If Dave Jones doesn't pick Chris Gunter for left back, he needs his head sorting.

The game could of gone either way, Wales scored there first whilst Ireland had the better of the play, and Ireland scored there second when Wales had the better of the play.

In all fairness, Hennessey had one save to make all game, compared to Shay Given's 3 good saves and 1 world class save off the line.

Personally i think Wales pipped it, and maybe could of got a win, but thats just being biased right?

Well played Ireland and well played Wales.

Two terrible teams. Laughing stock of the home nations.

Cards fan, you say that, but England can finish 3rd.
Scotland have finished 3rd.
N.Ireland can finish 3rd, and 3rd place will probably go to Ireland even though Wales can still finish there.

Hardly laughing stock isit?
When England had an "easy route" at the start of the qualifiers.

The Irish players,to a man, sang the anthem
The welsh players, to a man, looked as if they were listening to the Bolivian one. Surely one of them can actually learn some of the words. Football players tend to come from the urban English-speaking parts, but do they not have a PR man at all ? If John Redwood can mime, surely so-called patriots can. (Shirt means a lot .... , no truer welshman ......Blah, blah , blah). I'm glad to hear that the MS might be left behind. Its become a real millstone. We turn up to see away fans have a great time. We're also putting money into the coffers of the WRU . Go to a smaller stadium, put up prices, and force out the under -10's ( I take two to the MS myself!)

seriously aussieambyth, go home! winkeye Our team plays like muppets and you're worried about their singing? This ain't X-Factor. And moving out of the MS is a terrible idea, we just need a winning team at a price people can afford

Some promising play from Wales on Saturday. First time since the Czech game we had applause at the final whistle.

The youngsters played with no fear and had a great game. Ledley had his best ever for Wales.

Gabbidon has lost the plot though. Considering he is a Premier League player he looked miles behind some of the teenagers we had playing.

Great performance by the Wales Under-21s against an Ireland team with an almost all-premiership line-up.

Toshack needs to be allowed to see this through. In probably 4 years time we are going to have one hell of a team.

Agree that Toshack should stay. No-one better for the job right now. But I don't see us having a particularly good or successful team in the next 3-4 years (should that be 30-40 years?). Let's be realistic - a country with the playing population of wales needs a golden generation to qualify and who knows when that's going to happen? I can't see Scholari, Hiddinck or Wenger achieving qualification with these players let alone Toshack.

Wow players are not singing the national anthem so they are not good enough. This is the stupidest comment i have ever heard. Not all england players sing theirs which a half wit could memorise. Players prepare in different ways and i would rather them focus on the game ahead than the lyrics to our anthem which by the way over half the fans in the stadium don't know either.
