England camp remains hopeful

Euro 2008 England
comment on the article

Micah Richards talks about England's Euro 2008 qualification hopes in his latest column and it is clear he has not given up hope of reaching the finals yet.

With Rio Ferdinand and John Terry out of next week's qualifying clash with Croatia, Micah could play at centre-back in Friday's friendly in Austria rather than at right-back where he is usually deployed by his country, and the Manchester City star explains what he thinks about that.

Like most of England, Micah will be watching the Israel-Russia game on Saturday night but he is concentrating on the Croatia game at Wembley four days later, rather than worrying what will happen elsewhere.

Keep the questions coming in and if you have any ideas for topics for future columns then let Micah know using 606.

yeah!, I'm sure micah would be a great player at the club and I'd love to see 1 familiar english face, we got theo but he's got a lot of training to do before he can be a class striker and I'm just hoping he can become one, but micah would be awesome yeah

how does it feel it be to english, young and half decent? Therefore being touted as the solution to all of the world problem and over hyped and valued because of it?

agree with comment from Tonyhenrystache - micah richard's column is so boring.

BBC - can you please tell him to shape up, ship out? I'd rather have a blank space than read such banal, uninteresting stuff.

What's going to be in next week's column? "it's a funny old game" "we'll take each game as it comes"

give me strength...

Hello all, and thanks for your comments - positive and negative!

Micah's column this week does concentrate on the forthcoming few days that will decide England's fate and whether he goes to Euro 2008 - apologies to those of you who would rather he talked about something else!

For those of you who have been particularly critical - tonyhenrystache and norussianmafia - thanks for your thoughts, but do you actually have any suggestions of your own for topics for Micah?

As I say every week: Keep the questions coming in and if you have any ideas for topics for future columns then let Micah know using 606.

Let me know and I'll pass them on to Micah,
Thanks,
Chris

Is he a Pro Evo or FIFA man? :D
And, does he play Championship Manager or Football Manager?

Micah, being a relatively new member of the full England squad you've played with a lot of the current crop of England under 21 players. Who out of the England under 21 squad do you feel will make the step up to the full international team in the next year or 2? And in the striker position do you feel Theo Walcott is deserving of a full call up or if someone else is more worthy?

Micah, YOu often say that you dont mind playing centre-back or right back. How would you feel if the boss asked you to play a midfield role? do you think you'd be able to cope, and where in mid would you prefer to play, do you think you'd make a good winger?!
cheers i enjoy ur column

Micah, Are you at all surprised in the amazing start of the Blues this season? And, what do you believe it will take to keep the run going?

P.S. - Try to convice the MCFC management to take a preseason tour of the United States!!! There are Blues out here!!! Sure, a lot of rags, but many Americans have no clue what they're rooting for...especially when they root for United!
