Man United kept the Pressure on Arsenal after a Good victory against Blackburn in which two goals from Cristiano Ronaldo was the difference in the end. The game was maybe over at HT but David Dunn's sending-off gave Blackburn too much to do. Man United go three points clear of Arsenal for the time being but Arsenal have the chance tomarrow to regain Top-spot by beating Reading

Blackburn fan here

ManUtd won fair and square no arguments, a lot of us fans are disappointed with the loss but that just proves how far we have come. We looked good before you guys scored, im glad we didnt fold and lose 4-0. Good luck with the title but i think you guys have to give some credit to Arsenal they are also looking good.

Typical reaction from Mark Hughes. His team play it rough in every game, on the edge of the law. Little bumps, nudges, follow through tackles, silly OTT challanges etc, and they get away with 95% of it. Then a ref says hold on your not doing that on my pitch all day and Hughes now says thE ref was OTT. PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH HUGHESY!!! abU FAN.

Hey Hughesy!!! You think ref was a wee bit OTT to send Dunne off.... Well Blackburn play OTT rough stuff every week and get away with it 95% of time, so practice what you preach.

Obviously Blackburn should pay dearly for not releasing Benni to Chelsea. Hope u end up somewhere in the bottom half this season!
If Man U were as good a team as Arsenal right now this game shud 'av been 5-0

"Tony the Pony - It is gteat that you know 11 English players at Man U but when has he ever picked that yeam?"

It doesn't matter does it. The fact is we have the option to field a team of English players, and it proves us as possibly the only top team dedicated to producing good home grown talent whilst winning trophys as well. Who else can boast that?

To me, United are the bet representative of England and English football.

Plus, these younger English players are playing all the time. Whether on loan or not. Evans and Simpson have been getting minutes this season for United, despite having one or more far better English players already primarily occupying those positions. We have 2 high quality ENGLISH RB's with a new young English RB who is looking quality in his first few games.

It would be rather embarrassing for Danny Simpson to get more minutes than Theo Walcott this season wouldn't it? smiley

Unfortunately, Arsenal are still in the Carling Cup so it won't happen. It's a shame as you youth team actually play together as a team, as opposed to ours being second string players for the main squad. That's why I think we fail miserably in this cup!

"Of course we bought it. Other than Arsenal no club has 'built' a winning team. Problem with United fans is they can't accept that they have repeatedly bought the league."

You're obviously a very young United fan.

Scholes has been the playmaker for the best English team in the last decade. He is possibly the best technically gifted English midfielder of the past deacde, born and bred mancunian and came through our ranks. Over 30 and still doing enough to get nominated as best player of the year, whilst picking up monthly awards as well. Dedicated to his club, quitting international so he can prolong his Manchester career.

Giggs, possibly the best servant United have had in the last 40 years. Been with us since his mid teens, and still tearing apart defences nearly 20 years later and not looking like slowing down for anybody.

Gary Neville, best English RB for over a decade and also true to United. Through the ranks, and captaining one of the most exciting United sides at over 30.

Wes Brown, born and bred Mancunian. Excellent player whose defensive ability comes naturally. Unfortunately plagued by injuries, but it shows how good he is when Fergie has held on to him for so long. Known as the guy Henry couldn't beat, always ready and a brilliant player to be perfectly happy being a bit part player.

Beckham? The world's most well known player. End of.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, no need for words if you know your football.

I can't be bothered to go through them all to be honest, but to say Fergie bought his success is ridiculous.

Although I admit money has become more of a factor due to the other clubs becoming bigger and better. But out of Arsenal's first team, which of them came through the ranks?

You need to look deeper into things rather than throwing up what other fans of other teams tell you little man ok

doh

If Arsenal were as good a team as United, they would've beaten Slavia.

What a silly logic.

A better logic would be, if Arsenal were better than United, when they went head to head (at the emirates) Arsenal wouldn't have been chasing United around the pitch the whole game.

An even better logic would be if the ref was like the one yesterday and the one who gifted United the game against Chelsea, United would have won. As SAF said after the Arsenal game, the ref didn't do his job.

I'm not saying the result between us and Arsenal was unfair, it was a true result because Arsenal persisted and chased. I'm just trying to point out how ludicrous his logic is. It's not our fault refs are scared of United is it? The same goes for all of the big four.

The Chelsea game was won before it even started. United were dominant, and scored a good goal before half time (I think). The fact that Mikel has made some daft challenges in his time, and looked like he was deliberately trying to hurt Evra (when he probably wasn't) isn't our fault is it?

He should be more careful next time and make a challenge when he thinks he could get the ball ok
