Don't worry - Grant has stated: "It was one of our best games". So everything is alright then.

Personally I'd rather see us win these games at home. This idea that as long as the football looks good, the result is secondary, is going to wear thin pretty quickly.

Then he moans about injuries, saying have so many injuries in defense is unsual. Erm - was he paying attention last year at all?!?!?

The guys a chump.

Chelsea Logic

My point is that I'm managing Chelsea on Football Manager 2005.

I want to win Chelsea their first title for fifty years

Okay time to speak up. Everton are the most unreported team in the premiership! Moyes must be quietly fuming but as always is very diplomatic when he gets chance to be. On a good run, 8th in the league, Carling cup qtr's, Uefa cup knockouts, what more do we have to do on a limited budget to get some recognition? How can the bbc keep singing the praises of the top 4 and keep saying so much about Bolton for heavens sake! Well done the Toffees...keep it going.

"We still own Crespo. Can't we bring him back in January? That would be a great management move."

After the end of the English and Italian league seasons in the summer of 2007, it was announced that Crespo's career with Chelsea had effectively ended, after Chelsea confirmed that it would not exercise its option to recall Crespo. In a statement, Crespo said that he was thankful to the Chelsea management for being understanding to his situation. Inter also confirmed that it would now take over the total payment of Crespo's wages

Errr, Ok then.

I didn't know that! I thought we still owned him.

So did we receive money for him?

I cannot seriously believe we would give a player away for free that cost us 16 million quid. If that's the case then what sort of business are we running? I simply cannot accept we would give a player of Crespo's class away for nothing!!! That's insane!!!

Believe me mate i like everton but i would hardly say they have a limited budget. 8.5m for Andy Johnson. 11m odd for Yakubu. Outside the top4 they probably spend the highest amount on players. But essentially you are right everton are a very good club and a lot of people ignore that. They have 2 of the best midfielders in the premiership in Cahill and Arteta and they were cheated out of the win against liverpool and generally are IMO the nest biggest club outside the top 4 and perhaps spurs.

Hmmmm, I'm pretty sure Newcastle and Tottenham spent a little bit more than Everton. Johnson and Yakubu are the exceptions; Arteta and Cahill cost about 2million a piece.

I remember the reaction to Everton clinching 4th place in the Prem not so long ago (budget - £250,000 on Marcus Bent), something along the lines of "Liverpool are a bigger club so they should be in the CL" - not a jot of credit to Moyes. So Drivingsteviewonder, don't be surprised and don't expect any changes soon.

That's true, don't you think Chelsea already know that?

Quite the martyr complex you’ve got there winkeye

The reason many felt Liverpool should have been in it was because they’d just won it. I doubt anyone apart from the odd silly wum seriously suggested that Liverpool should take Everton’s place.

If you want to win the league you have grind out victories in these sorts of games.

I agree, the title is probably beyond Everton now.
