An ankle injury has struck Rooney and will miss 4 weeks for United. Also, he misses the 'crucial' game against Croatia next week.

A club spokesperson told ManUtd.com: "Wayne Rooney injured his right ankle in training and will be out for about four weeks."

How bad is this news ?

Who will suffer more; Man United or England ?

you are obviously a wum and incredibly stupid give me a response, united are not a two man team you idiot, you have forgotten vds ferdinand vidic evra who have played their part, you dont watch united because have you seen the rise of anderson nani tevez form helping the team, ronaldo has not set the world elight this year if you support arsenal fabrigas seems to score all youre goals, the reason why rooney has hit form because rooney has found a player in tevez that has brought the potiential out of rooney, my advice get new glasses. two man teams dont win titles you clown

Man Utd will suffer more because he was starting to build up a very effective partnership with Tevez.

As for England it won't make much difference. We perform too inconsistently as a team so that when he plays he rarely makes the positive difference we need. I can't remember the last time he played and as a 'team' England won well. His talent is well controlled at Man U and isn't with England.

Maybe United didn't miss him at all. 2 goals from Ronaldo today sealed a 2-0 home win against Blackburn.

Rooney is strong for both United and England, but I think that it will be the biggest blow for the England team.
Right now United is in good standings, and although Rooney is a huge part of the team, other players are definately forming strong formations.
England needs all the help it can get! In the game against Croatia, we need all strong players on the field playing their best for it to work out. But as jollydickiemint said, the team is too inconsistant, and I'm not sure if they even deserve to win.
However, man.U. can keep going strong and do everyone proud!

henry had at least one season with mid 20s goals and assists. he broke 20 on both more than once I believe.

league only

------------------------------

We're both wrong! According to Wikipedia he got 23 assists and 24 goals in 2002/2003. The most assists he got in other seasons was 15. So he did it once, but not a coupe of times.

OK

5 consecutive seasons of 24-30 goals though.

I'd love to buy the real 'next Henry'.
