Rafa's dilemmaPremier League Liverpool by abelzemt79 (U8192308) 05 November 2007 Me and my mate were discussing about Rafa and he said this which blew my mind. We have no doubt Rafa was successful at Valencia and had some success at Liverpool. But he has failed to deliver top notch results and has been hugely inconsistent and that has been his trademark style. Some think he needs time but may be can it be "...the coaching style he was used to in Spain and the players he used then are in a different wave length than the British?" There he must have used Latino players with plenty of tactics and talent who play with their minds and feet. In Britain he must use players with technics but no talent just high work rate and passion and physical strength. Latest 10 commentsRead members' comments or add your own

Also if he wasnt injured he would be fighting for his space with upto 4 other players. How can he keep any form when he plays one in three or four games or comes on as sub. Rafa has had too big a transfer pot. For Gods sack dont let him bring in more Spanish dross for one season before shifting them back to their second division! He will struggle to keep any half decent players as it is and morale is clearly rock bottom.

ramrodewe (U4916243) posted Nov 6, 2007 I think part of the problem is knowing how to get the best out of the players brought in, perhaps not so much the quality (or lack of). Wenger and Ferguson seem to know how to get the best out of their players - they always know their job on the field and seem motivated. They are also given time to get used to their position and not rotated every 5 minutes. Look at how AW turned Henry from a winger to striker, Flamini from a donkey to a human capable of kicking a ball.
