All the ref needed was a red nose and spinning bow tie. No wonder we struggle to kill games off.
I'm glad I watched on TV and listened to 5 Live - I'm reliably informed that Andy (hammers-hater) Gray was his usual, impartial self!
Sadly, our team song still sums us up - perhaps we need a change?

All credit to the team for getting stuck in despite the injuries though.

11 games down, West Ham are as close to Uefa Cup as they are to relegation (7 pts away from each). Compare that to last season when they were stuck in the mire from 11 games on.

I know which team will pull away from the bottom; Faubert, Parker, Dyer and Lungberg v the dross West Ham had in midfield today - come the new year West Ham will be ok. Come the new year what will happen to Bolton when Anelka takes the roubles from Chelsea?

i think we played average today, curbs will have taken cole off as he is the only fit stirker scoring and is working hard, i think curbs is worried about a burn out, with the injuries we have all we can do is play it safe, camara seems lost at times and ferdinand still disappoints me with every performance but apart from that we shud be ok this year and with the players coming back and a few more coming in we cud perhaps push for europe and take more risks after christmas when everyone is fit, ready and up for it.

my only other concern is the money we are spending in medical bills getting nigel quashie fit. biggrin

I agree that normally with two fit squads, west Ham are better man for man than us but footballs not like that otherwise why not dish out the title now by voting on it? Today Bolton deserved a point-we had more actual good goal attempts than west Ham and that's not biased. I think we will escape and to the person that said what will do when Anelka goes its simple. We can buy FIVE good players with the daft money Chelsea will pay for the lazy sod.

I agree completely and think that you make a number of extremely valid points. Of course, next season you'll be making them on the Championship board, but I for one will make the effort to venture onto the lower league boards to continue to seek out your excellent opinions. ok

blah blah blah.. Our injuries blah blah.. YAWN. Everyone is tired of hearing about them and face facts, you were more than a little lucky against Boro, Sunderland AND Portsmouth. So shut up and accept that you are lucky to be in this division and most fans will not forget that. We are tired of hearing your dross.

A little disappointed with West Ham, considering the personnel they have, although they are missing Ashton, Bellamy and a few others, even so I didn't expect their own performance to be quite so scrappy. Kudos to Bolton though, kept plugging at it and got their equaliser. Just interested to know what Megson's long term strategy is (beyond staying up, which let's face it, is their priority).

We deserved something out of that game, so it was a nice change to see a late goal go our way for once...

Hit the woodwork twice, and had two shots cleared off the line. A bit more luck and you have four goals right there....

Although disapointed at dropping 2 points, with the almost "2nd team" I think it was a remarkable result. Curbs has done a great job with what he has got left of his team and hopefully we should be awsome when the rest are match fit.

"Anelka is a bigger miss than any of your players"

Crap.

Dyer, Bellamy, Ashton, Parker, Noble, Ferdinand & Faubert would all have been in the starting 11 today, not to mention Ljungberg, Collins and Zamora on the bench.

Good save by their keeper to deny Cole, if that had been buried, 2-0 would have effecively ended the game. We definately needed a second goal as the carthorse Davies was giving our centre halves more problems then he should have done.

Still I'll take a point, well played the reserves!
