yes and walcott is only 18 and still 5 million less.

--------------

I repeat - Walcott cost 5 million, thats right, 5 - you know the number between 4 and 6?
-----------
And that is the same we have done with Anderson and Nani, we payed 8 million up front for each of them and the rest will be based on success just like when we sold Beckham and RVN to Madrid, alot of money coming back was based on success, if we win loads of prems, FA cups, CL etc we will be shelling out for Anderson but at the moment we arnt.

Well bad news for Scholes but I think good news for united.Unfortunately last year especially in Europe Scholes and Giggs were off the pace. Both have been good servants for the club but now in midfield we cannot play them together to slow. But fergie bought hargreaves to replace him so now we have to see if he can step up to the plate. Finally all this garbage agout lampard,he is still the only ENGLISH midfielder that the top foriegn clubs want to buy. They do not want Gerrard or any of the other would be superstar baby bentley owners but hey what do these top foriegn coaches know when we have such recognised top coaches and managers on these boards. He is the only English player apart from Beckham who can trap a ball and pass it to a man in the same colour shirt.Oh yeah perhaps thats why Drogba scores so many perhaps Frank makes him look good. But no lets carry on in our bitter little world with our eyes closed and fete a ball carrying workhorse because he hasn't left his hometown club.Wonder why that is Stevie,oh yeah at the end noone wanted you.

As a Man U fan and a fervent Hargreaves admirer since his Champions League success with Bayern Munich, I have to say he looks a bit out of sorts when he plays for England and Man U.

When he played for BM he would often have a free roaming role, drifting up and down either wing, or pushing up behind the strikers at the other end of the pitch.

So far at Man U, he's looked a bit identikit.

He's also an above average dribbler and we haven't seen that yet. Maybe after he's settled in we'll see the real Hargreaves.

Really? He's been one of United's most consistent performers when he's played, breaking up attack after attack. If Hargreaves plays against Arsenal he has the ability to stifle Fabregas, which will be United's main priority.

Scholes is still, on his day, a great player, but so far this season has been somewhat subdued;in Nani,Anderson and Hargreaves we have three ready made replacements.Nani and Anderson bring the great flair that is part of the United lore and will go on to become outstanding players for many years. There is a bit of Nobby Stiles in Hargreaves, which is no bad thing.
Glory,Glory,Man United!!Chew,Grenada.

If Arsenal win the Champs leaguem, Walcott plays 100 times for England winning the world player of the year every year - yes he will cost 12 - but if he does all that we won't care.

BTW Fabregas is better than Scholes AT THE MOMENT, then again he is better than everyone.

But can fans please show respect to Schole and Gerrard - insulting them simply makes you look stupid

---------------------------
my point was that walcott is still younger and cheaper than anderson
