Sam Burgess has been told he has no case to answer for his tackle on MoiMoi, so is free to play on Saturday. Likewise no action against MoiMoi for alleged use of the elbow.

It seems coaching water carriers is more of a concern than player welfare and repeated dangerous play.

None of these tackles were anywhere near as bad as Nigel Vagana on Paul Deacon in the last World Cup,remind me how long suspension did he get? I am not condoning high tackles but Burgess was simply over enthusiastic, the cowardly shoulder tackle by Kidwell on Willie Mason last year was a horror did he get a ban ?
They only whinge when their losing, I am looking forward to the next Test and fireworks.

Just remeber what happened in New zealand with the Lions even though that was Union no action was taken by the home jury about the tackle on O'Driscoll which nearly crippled him for life.
Not the pot calling the kettle black.

Ironic if the New Zealand representative voted for no action. What can you say justice has weighed the evidence and given her verdict thats it finished.

"the cowardly shoulder tackle by Kidwell on Willie Mason" what was cowardly about fronting up to an 18 stone bully with a perfectly legal shoulder charge?

on report is a cop out and we have seen it growing in use every year by refs who bottle big decisions-imo should have been 10 in the bin for a careless high tackle.

Just to clarify a few points some people appear to have missed. None of the three cases made it to the judiciary. The match review panel of 3 was made up of former ref stuart cummings, GB team manager abi ekoki (both employed by RFL) and NZRL board member nevile keisha. Votes were 2-1 against keisha for both the morley and burgess cases not to be referred to the judicary. Moimoi could not be charged because the GB management had failed to lodge a complaint with match review panel prior to 10.30am the day after the match as stated by the rules. The RFL claimed that they verbally cited Moimoi to the match commissioner after the match (no evidence of this). If this is the case then the match com. failed to notify the kiwi camp, as the rules dictate, so therefore the charge must be dismissed. So for all those complaining about Moimoi's tackle not being charged maybe you could redirect your angst at those who were responsible for this failure, either the GB management or the match com..

Its good to see that thugerry is still alive and well in pongolia.
This decision has just given a green light to anyone without a brain (this incudes the coach) to condone this behaviour.
How can anyone defend this action.

have now seen both high shots from burgess and morley and both to me look careless rather than deliberate-it's an automatic reaction when a guy steps you to throw and arm out and if you are a tall guy it can look a lot worse than what you meant (happened to me when i played both on the receiving end and being the guilty party)-both were yellow card offences and no more and if the sin bin was used like it was designed to be then we wouldn't be having all this controversy.
