BlackPlague (U8066749) posted Oct 28, 2007 I think 70s must always be right and the fact that he predicts our relegation means that he wants it to happen... therefore he wants us to lose every game just to prove hes right... true?

Block9 (U3062305) posted Oct 29, 2007 I am not a Bruce Hater far from it, however the crowd started chanting 4-4-2 after the 2 goals- both defensive howlers from normally excellent players- Ridgewell & Kelly/taylor- what on earth was going on there?? However very impressed with the bottle shown by the team whereas 2 years ago their heads would have dropped they were up and at it again & again- but it did show we needed someone like O'Connor on from the start- apart from the 2 goals Kapo looked out of sorts & out of position- De Ridder looked excellent & Larsson was good when he came on - by the way Schmidt looked the part in the centre of defence & worked well with Ridgewell- all in all even with players not playing in their best positions Blues did well- just hope we improve before the Vile game.

callitquits76 (U6708646) posted Oct 29, 2007 Bruce HAS been given a chance to prove his worth. He got the team relegated the last time and will probably do the same again. Nice guy, probably so - but if the new buyer wants to make Birmingham a force he needs to get shot of someone who is only going to waste the money on second rate clowns.

Block9 (U3062305) posted Oct 29, 2007 sorry- I never said his signings are second rate- Schmidt/larsson/Muamba/Nafti/Kapo/De Ridder/Ridgewell are far from second rate & better than the players we were relegated with- however the prem has moved on & we need to keep pace- Bruce knows what is needed & hopefully Yeung will give him the money to get them -

Jasonito (U4739238) posted Oct 29, 2007 70's Child, how is the statement about Bruce being the best manager we've had for 20 years pathetic? It's only a statement of fact. Regardless of what competition he's had, he has taken a Championship team who's fans had not tasted top flight football in 16 years and given them 5 out of 6 seasons in the Premier League. That is, in my opinion, an acheivement in it's self and worthy of recognition.

karlbirmingham (U9456392) posted Oct 30, 2007 I've been to the last two matches and have been impressed by the blues. I believe Bruce has done a good job with us but never understand his tactics....against Man City we were 1-0 down at stayed with one upfront until 80mins and played well for 10mins. Against Wigan started with 4-5-1 at home against a average team, went down changed to 4-4-2 and played well. If in the next home match bruce plays same tactics he deserves some stick!!!!
