Now that I have calmed down...Premier League Bolton Wanderers by Stewie Griffin (U9736180) 25 October 2007 On the face of it, this obviously looks like a bad choice. However, after reading some of the posts from other fans it seems that there are some interesting points. Latest 10 commentsRead members' comments or add your own

bullyboyblue (U2312098) posted Oct 27, 2007 Under Sam Allardyce, Bolton were a tough outfit that rarely played anything like attractive football. The club got to the position they were in by grinding teams down. Gary Megson is someone who can probably emulate that kind of team, but the sad thing is, the best he can hope for over the next 2 years is to stave off this seasons threat of relegation, then aim for the top 10, and maybe in 3 years time they will get somewhere back where they were under Allardyce. But it isn't going to be pretty, and I'mn ot sure Bolton's flair players (Anelka and Diouf) will stick around for that type of football.

KPC_Comments (U7150913) posted Oct 28, 2007 Being a Leicester Fan I'm glad he gone to be honest. I'm not talking from his results at Leic, but purely the loyality factor. Remember Leicester rescused him from the dole queue after over a year out of work after he failed at Nottingham Forest.

archdevil_uk (U6697534) posted Oct 28, 2007 As a Scottish Bolton supporter I agree that maybe its time the the board changed rather than the management? Why did Big Sam go? Why was Sammy Lee appointed? Was it that Phil Gartside has no ambition for the club and unwilling to put up the money to go forward? I see the appointment of Gary megson of further proof that he has no ambition, but I hope for our sake Gary Megson proves to be a great manager and saves this season!

joxterGoesToStuggart (U10191541) posted Oct 28, 2007 yes megson has about as much chance of saving bolton as trinidad and tobago have of winning the wc. All you have to do is look at his managerial record. He's been fired more times than the contestants on "The Apprentice". Gartside would want to give himself a serious talking to. Has he got money on bolton to go down because that is where they are going with megson in charge.

~~~SHRIMPS ARE GOING UP!~~~ (U6778909) posted Oct 28, 2007 noboody at leicester wanted megson because his record wasnt good enough, he had been out of football for a year and with Paul Jewell and Neil Warnock in the frame for the vacant job, to have someone like megson come in was disappointing to be honest
fatfox (U9023559) posted Oct 28, 2007 Washcar: I don't see any point in my fellow Leicester fans commenting on loyalty, because Megson wasn't with us long enough to owe us any. However, I'm afraid I don't see the 'irony' that you claim to detect.
