A good win for Newcastle and a good position in the league.
However, don't get too carried away after last night.
You beat a Spurs team who are in the bottom three and after 10 games have only beaten Derby.
However, enjoy the moment.

Jarra, Not quite sure how bad Spurs are but I do know that they are only one 1 point behind Sunderland this morning but with a better goal difference.

If Newcastle are in the top 4 and are able to maintain, Euro footy aside, why and where to would Martins be going then?

Before the game i tipped Oba Martins to score as he's very strong and quick,the only negative thing i could spot is that he looks similar with Owen in terms of height and that has knocked him out sometimes cause For England sake Owen comes first but it shouldn't be so.Owen seem a better finisher
but Oba is a machine and works very hard and causes threat.
Good for the first time seeing Milner coming from the bench and scoring,
Oba was the leading scorer for their club last season and now he's on 5 goals which puts him in a comfortable position to contend for scorer award,but it won't happen cause he doesn't get much playing time like today.Owen looks abit too weak and slow for my liking,Viduka would have been good too cause he's got height and experience.That idea that makes Big Sam thinks he can't play both Martins and Owen together should change,Martins too good for a bench place cause for me as long as the game is still on, a player with such power and pace could score anytime.On fair ground if the strikers fight for place he would get on the team, so for New Castle's success Big sam play your best players.Viduka,Owen and Oba can start a game with one moving out abit to the flank
where milner could have played, then later on bring on Milner to change the game with his pace and crosses also.Good to see Emre in the middle.Inzogbia should try not to be
too selfish with the balls we know he can score also but sometimes it frustrate the forward,
i could spot Owen and martins calling for ball,Owen had a quiet match and Oba also before the goal.I was also very surprised the way New castle played at the back,they looked very solid honestly i was shocked.I hope your guys won't be a problem to my team when we come locking horns..lol

Tottenham will not even make the top 8 this season no matter how hard they fight in the after the new year,they need to end the christmas with a good position to even retain where they had been for 2 years top 5.

lol, dont we love 3-1 games. I dont remember exactly but we seem to have won the last couple 3-1, and we lost to city 3-1.

I reckon newcastle (finally) have enough good players in all positions to experiment a little with the formation.
