City might have 'scraped' it but they still deserved the win because they didn't give up even when they were being kicked right, left and centre by a Birmingham team who obviously can't tell the difference between a ball and a person!

Steve Bruce was trying, and sometimes succeeding, to influence the referee and the linesman. Bruce's behaviour was an absolute disgrace and he should have been sent to the stands.

The Birmingham fans started trouble inside the ground and then carried it on outside. Never have I been scared coming out from a home match but I really was today. I had to keep changing my route because of their behaviour. The fans really let their team down.

Im a man city fan and by no means was the game easily won.Birmingham played some good attacking football and posed a huge threat in the last 30 minutes of the game.Richards and Corluka were outstanding in intercepting play and elanos' clinical strike again seperating the teams. This is the type of game we would of drawn last season so its good to see a new man city that are looking better and better.

First City game i've been to this season and it wasn' a great performance by either side. The game really lacked many chances, Mpenza, Ireland and Petrov I thought had paticularly poor games. Richards, Dunne and Hart had good games which was probably the key to victory.

Was trouble outside the stadium at the end, wasn't pleasant, six of one, half a dozen of the other I think, however.

I think Ireland has been out of sorts for the last few games. He's a young lad and all the recent publicity he's attracted should surely warrant a short rest? Geovanni could fill in nicely, he deserves a start and has plenty of experience, which I still feel we sometimes lack. Ireland is a young lad and I'm sure he would come back stronger than ever

We play badly and we still win, sounds like a good team to me.

Can't agree more about comments on mpenza... I was at the game as well...I've slated him in the past but again he was extremely poor... He didn't contribute a single thing the whole time he was on the pitch... that's not being harsh it's just the truth... he was so clumsy on the ball as well... don't understand how bianchi didn't even make the bench.. unless he's still injured...

Apart from elano.. hamman and richards were my stand out players...

A diehard blue; We won and did not play well. In my view we are still 3 or 4 quality players short of having a very good consistently top 6 premiership side. We need a striker, at least one more midfielder (someone like Sidwell)and 2 big central defenders. I'd also go for Lehmann as a keeper
