Saturday's Premier League action

Premier League

Now then you lot. Lots and lots to talk about today.

Obviously a few other sports are in the headlines this weekend, something to do with an oval ball and an awful lot of petrol.

But I think we footy people need a bit of a tonic after that long, painful retreat from Russia.

And what a dish the Premier League is serving up today.

The Merseyside derby for starters, in addition to a main course that involves both Arsenal and Chelsea, while Man Utd take on Aston Villa for a tasty dessert.

Please don't hammer me for that horrible metaphor, it just sort of happened.

But please, please, please get involved and let me know your thoughts, feelings and emotions about what should be a cracking day of Premier League action.

In fact, having seen Liverpool also getting a late decision earlier against Everton, or some of Styles' ones today, I wonder whether some people can realise that this doesn 't help football at all. We need teams like Villa or Spurs to close the gap on the big four, making the Premiership even a nicer spectacle. What 's the use of seeing Arsenal, United, Chelsea or Liverpool win day in day out, many times under controversial circumstances. There is a need for better strength in depth in the Premiership, and this black-clothed men keep devastating the decent effort of some teams!
I used to dance around with every (Man) United 's win a few years back, either it was in the Champions League or the Carling Cup, and now I have gone so disappointed at what I see...

NO ONE CARES MUCH ABOUT REFEREEING DECISIONS IN ARSENAL, CHELSEA or even LIVERPOOL'S GAMES (EXCEPT TODAY), except those three are playing big teams BUT EVERYONE JUST SEEMS TO SCRUTINIZE OUR GAMES TO FIND SOMETHING WRONG!! THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION BUT NO THANKS!

Sorry guys, but just looked at the table, what happened to Mr Levy's demand for Champions League football, that's a big gap to make up. Do these directors actually understand football?

Dear the TruthII - do the sums. United ticket allocation for Villa Park - about 5000, leaving 65000 that turn up to every home game have to follow on TV, radio or t'Internet.

This "all United fans come from Surrey" is so lame.

The refereeing in the United game was fine. Both sending offs were justified.

My only complaints in regard to referees today were the Liverpool game and the penalty Arsenal deserved but didn't get. I didn't watch the other games to be able to give an opinion.

It's just interesting to see how many Villa fans are posting comments to bemoan the ref or whatever. Answer: None.

That's because Villa haven't had that much success in the last few years so the only people who support Villa are genuine fans who love the club, who'd go to see them play or at least turn off the computer to watch their team play. Compare this to the number of United 'fans' posting today and I think it's very interesting

maybe because man united have a huge fanbase all over the uk, hell all over the world, who can't all go to old trafford or do not have access to watch the football on the tv. I for 1 do not have sky sports and am a 15 minute drive from the pub, and i cannot expect my mum to take me there every man united game.
