I mean look at his records unbeaten at roland garros, two consecutive wimbledon finals against the greatest player of all time (imo) and then in grand slams on hardcourts i dont think he has ever made it past the quarters.

I'm sad for felicito who had such a good run and gave federer a run of his money like he did in the open but it was not enough. TBH, I'm no longer intersted in this tourney and I'm happy that I didn't buy a ticket for the final. I don't like fed and djoko. I can't count on nalby and nico, well, I'm happy he is back after the surgery and the injuries. the only match i will be looking forward to watch is the doubles between the bryans and the argies. willy and nalby have formed a strong partnership and it will be nice to see if they can push the best team in the world. I just hope david doesn't withdraw from the match because of his singles.

But who would have guessed it David in the final. Unless there is a major upset, it is likely to be David vs Roger in the final. With David it's about confidence, so should make a good contest.

datadigdeeper (U7914744) posted Oct 20, 2007 The 'old maestro', but David's performances are like a rollercoaster ride. I love watching him play, win or lose. So now he tempts us yet again. Another final, everyone knows if it's Federer in the final, he will be favourite. So David can you do it for us again? No disrespect to Roger, but a different outcome would be welcomed for a change. Doubt it though, Roger looks awesome a bit scary. Still in first gear methinks. Still great to see David make a final

aquaCharlotte4 (U7224252) posted Oct 20, 2007 Absolutely datadigdeeper, if Roger comes through, the final will be like the glory days of Roger and Davide. I'm a Fed fan, but have always loved Davide's exquisite tennis and he's been looking seriously focussed in this tournament. Comment on this article |
