It is difficult to imagine Fredalo staying away from drink and pedalos.... if he stays away from cricket for so long. Better solution would be for Freddie to play in the Pura Cup over the Aussie summer.

He might qualify to play for the Aussies, eh?

Freddie is a Lancastrian. If he can't get back terrorising bowlers and batsmen, no one can.
A great example of a world class sportsman and he does it with a smile.

Sure, by the time he qualifies enough he will be just old enough to join your bunch of geriatrics.

Did you notice he was operated on by Van Dyck? If only that guy had been brought to the World Cup in the West Indies. Solving the mystery of Woolmer's death would have been a hell of a lot easier..

Since Freddies injury is almost entirely down to him working so hard for Englands bowling attack, he should absolutely be given as long as is needed to recover. To deprive him of his income during this period would in my mind be utterly unforgivable. When he is recovered he can then prove his form and fitness and a subsequent central contract can be decided then and no earlier.

Writing from Porto Alegre Brazil. I'm always amazed at the resentment shown by some posters on this site against Freddie Flintoff. The guy is a lion-heart and has given his all for the England team. Sometimes I think he is his own worst enemy in that he's so willing to play that he comes back too soon. I remember him in India not so long ago leading the team, decimated by injury, to a famous victory in Bombay. The guy is massive for the game as a whole and for the England team in particular and lifts the spirits every time he comes out on the pitch. We want him back, fully fit, and let's hope that this operation does the trick. It would be a very sad day indeed if his career were so severely curtailed by injury.

Agreed, and one thing for certain he always appears to be giving it his all in the field, and bowling. We should all wish him well and hope for a full recovery.
I do not believe there is any need to bring in pedalos etc
