Henry tips Gunners for double

Premier League Arsenal, Barcelona
comment on the article

www.skysports.com/story/0,19...

I wonder if he regrets leaving? Still you have to show respect to the great man. He hasn't said a bad word about Arsenal since he left and he said he never would say anything bad about Arsenal and right now is keeping his word. I would be happy if Arsenal just won the Premier League but the double is even better.

Who was there to challenge inter for the title though No Juve, Milan
---------------

Milan were in Serie A, but your right No Juve, Had Juve been there i can gurantee you inter would have been no were near scudettowinkeye Although Vieria did have a very good season with us, he scored 8 goals in 31 games for a player like Vieria that is good and he also played some good football in the midfield with the like of Nedved, Emerson, Zambrotta and Camo.

Back to the topic, I don't think Henry can shine at a 1st tier club and were there are players just as good as him or better it is currently happening at barcelona but it also happened when Henry was at Juve were he had to compete with the like Zidane, Del piero, he failed there. But hopefully Henry will eventually succeed at barca, as he's a great player.

Valid

It looks like that Mclaren will not be getting the sack even if he does fail to qualify to euro 2008ok

Some of you supporters are the worst kind of humans there is . Ungrateful, Bad-Minded, Envious. this man has given so much to Arsenal His Best Years and now he has left you are all saying such degrading things about him.

He has moved to a new challenge a new league and he will eventually do well. He wont score as much goals because as he said at Arsenal he was the persons with ALL the responsibility of scoring at Barca that responsibility is shared and the balls are not coming directly to him as before so naturally he wont score as much goals.

But with a team such as Barca that is expected.
All he is saying is that After spending so many years giving so much to one club and adopting to one style of play he has now to adjust and that is taking some time.

English football is weaker than the other leagues That is why the English team has not won a Major competition for so long. Because of television it is more popular and hence seems more exciting but still easier that is why you will have so many foreign stars moving to the EPL. PLUS THE MONEY

Henry is a GREAT player He WILL do well at Barca He has not spoken a bad word about Arsenal SO why do you Arsenal supporters has to be so Mean and vicious like a pack of wolves or wild dogs.

Some of your comments are just disgusting

I am sure you will all love Fabragas and the other current players now until they also move on and then you ungrateful few will resort to your pathetic selfs.

Even the Manager admitted a few years ago that he made a mistake selling Viera at a the time he did and you are saying disrespectful things about him now.

As for Henry and his wife that is there personal life not yours and if he or his wife was not happy in the marriage then they did the best and go there seperate ways.

Divorce is not a bad report on anyone character sometimes that is the best action for happiness. Neither party has any obligation to stay unhappy just to please the public.

Leave there personal lives out of the discussions.

he most certainly did not 'admit making a mistake' - he may have referred to the sudden need of the young players to step up a little early - but vieira was getting in the way evetually and he' not been a shadow of the player he was at arsenal. He's lost his hunger and he was getting increasingly injury-prone while he was here. He did not play a huge role in Inter's scudetto (yes AC milan was in it but with a points deficit!) and wenger definitely foresaw the drop in form.

As for Henry, I don't think anyone on this board questions his contribution to the club over the years - we all know he's brilliant - but there's nothing wrong with pointing out that he simply wasn't fully present his last couple of seasons - and, like vieira, increasingly injury-prone - So, as brilliant as he was, I don't think any gooners need feel ANY regret (nostalgic sadness is fine of course) at his OR vieira's departure - regardless what the supporters say of the poor sap sucker leagues that shelled out big time for them. Hopefully, by the time they get their hands on Fabregas, he will also have passed his peak. They obviously like buying them like that.

Henry contributed so much to the team and he's been a club icon for many many years. He respects Arsenal to this date and as an Arsenal fan, I can't criticise him for whatever he does. Sure, we're doing well and I love our current squad but I can't deny I miss him and I'd always want him back. Cos that's what families do. But I wish him best luck in Barca and I think he'll shine in the matter of time

It's a big shame that despite Henry being your "saviour" for so long, you Arsenal people can disparage him like this. Really shameful!

with regards to Vieira what Wenger actually said was that he made a mistake in letting both Vieira and Edu both leave at the same time

worst kind of humans? that compared with mass murderers and rapists is it?
henry was an amazing player for arsenal, but i think he was very lucky to a genius of a manager in wenger, who built the whole team and style of play round henry. i'm not sure he's quite as great as he thinks he is and doubt he'll ever be as good in a team which he has to fit into, rather than having the team fit round him. i think this is why he's never been outstanding for france.

i dont miss henry and neither does arsenal , they still play like rusty robots in a downpour. the most one dimensional team since wimbledon fc. come xmas you will have to turn the newspaper sports page upside down so they will be at the top.they have no flair are void of tactics and englands world cup ladies team would give them a good hiding . overhype them for a few more weeks it wont last .

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Henry has struggled since he had achilles problems in 2005/2006. He is now saying he still has achilles problems so perhaps the injury is chronic rather than acute. Wenger knew that Henry was past his best when he agreed to sell him, and although Arsenal owe a massive debt to Henry as the greatest player ever to grace Highbury, business is business. The King is dead long live the King (Fabregas).
