If you would please just cast your minds back to the samoa and tonga matches. To my recollection JW was the one who set atleast 3 of the trys up.
Everyone thinks of johnny as the once amazing kicker. Mark my words. The man is an alround world class player. Considering all of his set backs of injuries. Give the man sometime and hel be back to form as he once was.
Johnny, sheridan, sackey, corry and of course robo are all legends in this world cup.

The last time England beat France, Johnny wasn't playing, AND England scored tries!

Jonny has been there done it and got the T-Shirt. Carter is a flash poser who shines when the AB's are bullying little teams but when they are on the back foot I.E. against France he 'aint up to it.

JW is probably the best fly half in britain at the mo. stephen jones is good but can be suspect defensively so is more of a risk. as for dan parks...hmmm! not really.
as to what people said about o'gara's form and who would replace him, he needs time out to sort whatever's going on in his personal stuff before he should play again, and at the moment he would have serious trouble getting into the munster side after the excellent start made in the magners league by young paul warwick. also, ireland have a real young gem in leinster's jonny sexton.
this could be the end for o'gara

Lets be a bit more analytical in our approach rather than supporting our favourite players.

JW
Strengths: Decision making (best in the world), kicking under pressure, playing under pressure and defensive play.

Weaknesses: Slower than most, passing game can cause problems for centres, and tactical kicking prone to break down.

DC:
Strengths: General kicking, fast, break tackles, passing is both smooth accurate and incisive. Also this is the most amazing kick you'll ever see.

Weaknesses: (really, just based on his performance whilst not fully fit last saturday), poor decision making under pressure. Never won the Webb-Ellis.

Juan Martin-Fernandez
Strengths: Strength, speed and aerial ability of a strong full-back (of which only Chris Latham could match). Amazing handling. Stongest runner you'll see at 10. Huge Garryowens. Natural footballer. Defensively powerful.

Weeknesses: Lack of experience at 10 makes him a prone to go for unnecessary risks (like against scotland).

JW is Mr. Reliable

DC will be condemned to the history as merely great (and not deified) until he wins a world cup.

JMF Is the future of professional standoffs. Litterally has everything any 10 could wish for bar experience. In a few years time people will be saying he started the "new breed" of international fly halves.

I think you are underestimating Butch James' talents. He hits as hard as Wilkinson, he certainly can kick for position, he moves his backline well, and he can run and pass at the same time. Oh, and he is now a Bath player.
