England to lose to France (sadly).
Argentina to beat South Africa.
Argentina to win the Final.

Thoughts?

I think it will be a France vs South Africa final. Fair play to Argentina getting to the semis but man I find their play so boring. Just 80 minutes of garryowens, just seems to be a lack of creativity and I think South Africa will unfold them. That said they have done so well up to now. I just fear that if results go the other way, England vs Argentina could possibly be the most boring final ever witnessed. In fact the thought of it would turn me off watching rugby ever again!!!

Scotland are a better team than you give them credit for. In warm up versus SA, apart from a 5 min spell of errors where Scotland gifted 2 tries (and 1 other quality one), SA never looked like scoring.

Sorry but pre-world cup form counts for nothing. SA struggled to beat Connaught. Yes, Connaught. A development team. I don't think that makes Connaught a better team.

Argentina maybe not have the best technique, tactics, etc. The secret of this team resides in the fact that they are playing together for 8 yrs, they are like a family now and they have a formidable mental strength. Sometimes you can win a crucial game with that.
Regarding their boring game, well, Argentina's game used to be a lot more boring in the past. We are improving a lot.
Vamos Pumas!

Argentina have played out their skins, and good as they are they looked tired and vulnerable when Scotland started running at them towards the end. Sa will do the same and close out a game where they should already be ahead. Expect Pietersen and Habana to get quick ball to negate the up and under counter rucking strategy of the Argies. Skinstad is playing and extra bench is a back so intentions are clear. We will not play their game

I am new to Rugby but it was pretty easy to choose a team in this World Cup. Call me sentimentalist, but Argentinians play the same way they sing their National Anthem... So passionate and full of heart! I know they're the underdogs, but I'll support them till the end.
VAMOS PUMAS!!!

the only reason I can think of that suggest the RGs will win is that Percy won't catch the up and unders, otherwise sound.-

I'm anti-SA in principle, but the RGs are soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo boring. And although I think England will win the cup if they face the south americans in the final, this is balanced out by the prospect of it being the most boring world cup match ever. But then...

So...COME ON (actually screw it SA are going to destroy them)

Amazing how the 2007 final was predicted so acurately 5 years ago in the book ''Running with Giants''.

Build up anticipation for the final and give it a read.
