"4 wins at home in the league. Pretty good going."

Yep, we only won 11 all season last year. O'Neil is really making progress, but our strikers aren't exactly scoring for fun. I wonder if they'll go into the market in January?

Great win but we (Villa) are in danger of becoming a first-half team. Second half we seem to lose our shape and resort to pumping high balls up the field - when our strikers need it to feet or played in behind the defence. Shame Berger is injured - would be good to see him playing behind Moore/Agbonlahor.

Gabby up front with carew will cause lots of damage.

They compliment each other perfectly.

Not many other strikers have scored more than gabby.

Laursen was awesome again, and I think that Knight is improving with each game. Gabby looked sharp and if I had to pick between him and Ashton for England, it'd be Gabby everytime.

Can't understand how Bowyer never got booked, he whinged and moaned all game at the ref over everything.

Anyone else think the ref was awful today ? on another note Laursen was immense again, cant believe Barry was motm...hard fought win.

Barry was never MOTM, I think they just couldn't choose and thought, 'Ahh Barry, that'll impress olf Mac up there'

The ref was a joke, the young push was a blatant penalty.

Well done villa you shaded it but I can't help think you shaded a win against an injury ravaged Westham. Still, lofty heights top 5. We can only look on in envy (for now smiley

We played well in first half but we really did stutter in the second half.
We invited a lot of pressure by again playing the quick long ball way too much. It became an anxious game - Ljunberg had me worried a fair few times.
We should have scored more in the first half and we very nearly paid the cost for not doing so.

I completely agree with you mate. I cant believe he doesn't get a mention when the England squad is picked. Its great to have the 2 most exciting young English players in the league running down the wings though!!! Up the Villa!
