lets get behind england... for the 1st time this world cup they have looked as if they are defending champions. they played brilliantly against australia and is we play anything close like that again we can give france a run about. well done boys and hope for the same this time against france

Can we please not get carried away. It was a fantastic performance by our pack against the Aussies but can we not go over the top. Yes we do have a chance, but against a bubbling French side, in Paris, who've just beaten the best team in the world (theres some irony in there somewhere) its going to be tricky.

There were a few areas which need to be improved if we are to beat France: The backs handling at times looked a bit shakey on Saturday, and the Aussie big runners broke through the line fairly frequently.

What a victory mind. Absolutely incredible performance by the front 5, Phil Vickery deserves a knighthood for his understated role though Sheridan has taken most of the credit.

I think that win was actually sweeter then winning in their own back yard in 2003!!! Ive never seen so many Aussies crying.... fantastic boys, get ready for the French now!

The English Forwards proved who the real men were on the day. Lets hope we continue our improvement as the tournament moves on. Lets face it it we played well & easily deserved to win but there are still several departments we could do with improving in. Look forward to the next gear change up.

It was all about preparation. This team have now worked together for a few weeks. They know their own strengths and weaknesses. It wasn't all about Wilkinson, it was about giving him the opportunity to do what he does best.They have / are gelling as a formidable force and in the scrum I think we could dominate just about any other nation. It's about determination, and the lads have got that. There was no expectation that they would beat Aus but they did. I want to see England - Argentina in the final because SA are also too arrogant (like NZ).
