Firstly what a great night for us dons fans, honestly didn't think we would do it but come on.

Secondly i would like to say ha ha to just chalky call yourself an Aberdeen fan, betting a grand against them,Who where you shouting for in the last ten minutes.?

Thirdly there has been alot of good points viewed on here some for JC, some against. Personally i think we should get behind the team & manager we have, its been along while since we've
had a crack at a big european club lets enjoy it.

I think Aberdeen will have a great chance of making it through the group stage. There are some top sides who made it through and they will get one of those in their group.

However, the other 3 that make up the group along with Aberdeen are unlikely to be as good as Dnipro.

With 3rd place in the group being enough to qualify for the next round, they have every chance.

Superb disciplined display from the Dons.

Doesn't matter who we get in the group stages - it'll just be great to play some top teams! I hope we have a go in the group stages and don't sit back all the time.

Would love to hear Chick Young's comments after his column on this very site in which he believed anyone who thought Aberdeen had a chance of progressing were "dreaming." Well we've done it despite your cynical pessimism, Chick. Hope you feel as much of an idiot as you look now.

Stand free.

Great result and nice to see some good comments on here from other teams fans, thanks guys. Have to say the whole Scotland/Old Firm results made me believe we could do it and hopefully we all continue to progress.

Even the English media have been very good to us all with some nice comments, the feelgood factor has returned long may it last. smiley

Chick Young is quite simply a fool and not worth listening to. The man can barely string a sentence together without mentioning the Old Firm. Frankly he is embarrassing.

Anyway I feel that there are lots of positives to take from last nights game. I thought that the performance away from home was excellent and because of that we deserve to go through.

Langfield and the defence were superb throughout and the team really stepped up and showed grit and maturity to see out the game after losing a flukey goal.

Some are saying that we were lucky but I feel that is irrelevent and we now have something positive to look forward to. We should have scored a few at Todders anyway so I feel that over the two legs we deserve it.

Credit to Mackie for sticking with it even though there will always be question marks over his ability. He always works hard and plays for the jersey unlike a few of our other strikers.

Great stuff Dons! I'm a Rangers fan but always want to see Scottish clubs win in Europe.(yes, Celtic too!)
Every win by one of us in Europe helps the overall chances of a decent seeding the next season. With the National team flying as well, isn't it great to know that the rest of the world sees SCottish fitba as a force again?!?

spurs fan here. great result for the dons ok dnipro are quite a good side. Could see them progress past the group stages ... more british teams in europe the better. Have to say scottish football is on the up, and I would like to think this will spur on my team to do better.

Quality result indeed, and a fantastic hard working performance. Hopefully the Scottish media will milk this week "English style", and use it as propaganda to promote the Scottish league.
The opportunity is there for us to really push for more support; specifically targetting the English club supporting Scots, who have the audacity to support their national team, without offering their backing to our league.
It was important that we (the dons) especially got a win, to aim some focus on the rest of the SPL. Gutted I couldn't make the trip, but will definitely make the next two!

As a dons fan i feared the worst especially going away to ukraine. Very proud of the dons!! I am also delighed for the old firm as i geniunely wanted them both to win. I always want the scottish teams to do well when playing in europe as it helps us all in the long run(narrow minded fans need to look at the bigger picture)the further all 3 get the greater chance it gives them in the future. Nice to see comments from other scottish clubs fans and even the english clubs(i did get exited when faddy scored a peach)!!Hope the momentum carries on to the national team for the ukraine and georgia games!!! The scots are back!!!!!

Ukraine and Russia seem to be up there as the hardest nations to go and get a result im guessing statistics would prove that.
