Yes it did - admit it! They so would have collapsed chasing 300+, just like they did today. India are lucky not to be 2-0 down and need to take drastic measures to turn things around from here..

I read somewhere that the score line on this series would read 6-1, 5-2 in favor of Australia. We are almost there.

At this point they are 2-0 up (let's be honest, India would have lost the first match as well). To chase a 300+ score you need grit, resolve & mental strength, something we are not consistent with.

Not to take the shine away from our victory in the 20-20 WC, but 50 over ODI is totally a different ball game. It is time we take a good look at how we play across each event in cricket (Tests, ODI, 20-20) and play the best possible team w/out creating demi-gods out of them.

Maybe we should programme
the Indian players into
thinking that they are
playing 2x 20/20 and 10/10
match in order to win against the Aussies

I think India had too much of a party after winning T20. The Aussies said they were particularly surprised at the amount of celebrating. Reminds me of the England team in the wake of the '05 Ashes triumph... won nothing for 12 months

India should rotate their players even if they have to do so to Sachin. Chances should be given to Rohit, Uttappa and any other youngster who can bat or bowl.
Sreesanth should be bridled at the field as he is acting like a 5 yr old. He should show the opposition how he can contain them not through his gestures but by bowling in good line and length.

If you win a world title and do not know how to celebrate it, why win it???

It's T20 cricket and it was Oliver Brett who was criticising India for not promoting it, proir to the tournament..He even said something like "Let's forget India..." and went on as if India have no chance of winning it...then he went into a silence...no praise for india'a win in a tournament, no one else bothered that much than Oliver himself...

Now he's back as soon as India starts losing...

Hi..TV..

I am glad someone else also remembers those remarks of OB earlier.

It was also him, who actually wrote down Sachin saying he should retire, yada yada yada..
but soon to realize Sachin made him eat his own words.

Hi Krick,

Ya, i remember he was pegging Sachin's greatness to scoring a ton at Lord's....

I replied that RP singh is a greater bowler than Shane Warne coz he got a five-for at Lord's and Shane did not

Take my word, he will go in to a silence when India bat first & win in the next match..he seemn to have a real problem with India...

BBC is better off publishing some articles straight off 606 as i see more quality here than in the sports page..

spot on TV..

what irks me is that in the name of so-called journalism, these people write anything and everything to a) either attract some controversy or b) express their opinions without actually giving importance to facts and feelings of others and c) become popular by all means and thus d) make good money!

he had put a tagline that goes like "in an ill-tempered match.." in my view, what ever ill-temper was shown by the players had ended yesterday itself. but by blowing some of those things disproportionately and biasedly, people like these are trying to fill their pockets and satisfy their egos.

I totally agree with you Krick...I hope BBC reduce the spotlight given to articles by Oliver, Agnew & Soni...& get some meaningful experts write some interesting stuff..
