I am a bit confused as to what Roman wants from Chelsea F C does he want us to win games and keep clean sheets win games and play attractive sexy football just win games anywhich way.My impression was Jose was not playing sexy attractive football and the manager was starting to attract bad publicity although you couldnt fault his track record. Its ironic where we find ourselves now.

Abramovich is a selfish ignorant philanthropist, or at least is acting a lot more like one this year. He's done lot of good things for our club but at the same time he has brought wave of destruction with him and the fans just want to see attactive football on the pitch. You can't do that with a 30m Ukranian who's past his prime starting or with a rich and very bored Russian who has lost a bit of interest in a club he formerly loved.

So what do you think should happen now?

If it was not for Roman there would have been no Jose and no retained titles.

How ungrateful and fickle!!!!!!!

Are you really a Chelsea fan or just sing when we are winning????

A marvellous win in Valencia tonight where Roman was cheering on his players. He looked so bored didn't he?erm

Spoken like a true supporter, sir!

I used to be a very passionate Chelsea fan when I was younger with no obligations and could afford to go. Now I restrict myself to my anniversary matches (coming up for the 40th in January) and FA Cup matches. Incidentally, my first school was the same as Ossie's first school but 10 years later.

One of the reasons I became a little disenchanted with football in general was the Sky contracts, taking the game away from those fans who couldn't afford to subscribe. A reason for becoming disenchanted with the club I've followed since 9 years old was the way that Claudio was treated in his last season, with the constant speculation about Sven, during which time Mr.Ranieri acted with great dignity and still coached the team to a second place and a place in the Champions League.

Every season, when my son gets a little too excited over the latest greatest player to pull on the blue shirt and wants the £10 name on the £40 shirt, I remind him that owners, managers and players come and go, but supporters?

WE ARE FOREVER!

UP THE BLUES!

Roman wants the top prize and to be the best in the world, Jose was letting it slip and wasnt quite able to get there. When the next window opens I am sure Chelsea will be in the market for new blood. Roman is a winner and it is only by him that Chelsea have accomplished what they have. Some fans are foolish & just plain stupid to question Romans loyalty and they should be showing loyalty to him & his decisions. You dont bite the hand that is feeding you.

"The 2nd year, Liverpool, Arsenal and United LOST the title."

The PREMIER LEAGUE is not a cup, decided through a series of one-off games. Whoever wins the PREMIERSHIP wins it deservedly. Even if a team wins the last game through a fluke ref decision, for example, the cumulative worhtiness of a team comes through. (This is just statistical science, nothing extraordinary.)

So, yes, MAN UTD deservedly won the PL last seaon, and CFC deservedly won it the previous two seasons, and so on.

The kind of coloured glasses you're wearing are no longer in fashion.

"Chelsea are an average side."

Oooh. We must've hurt you real bad. Tell us more... smiley

CHELSEA FC have been an average side for many years in our History. (SO WHAT I could say but let's not waste time.)

But to call us "average" NOW, is ridiculous. Meaning, YOU are being ridiculous!

To give you but one example of our STRENGTH :

If MOURINHO's CHELSEA had not gone out last season ON PENALTIES against 'POOL in the CL SEMIFINAL, we would have played IN EVERY GAME POSSIBLE TO PLAY WITHIN A SEASON IN ENGLAND!

Chew on this for a little while.

cool

"Liverpool and United stand head and shoulders above Chelsea who were nothing before Roman - and nothing without him!!!"

YES -- POOL and MAN UTD have won far more trophies than CHELSEa FC in their history.

NO -- we were not "nothing" before ROMAN. We were a middle-of-the-table, tilting-towards-bankruptsy club. Nothing spectacular and nothing unique in English (or European) football. All it takes is GREED and IDIOT MANAGEMENT.

Lucky you, who didn't have a Ken Bates. So? You come here to brag about your GOOD LUCK for having a better boeard? And our BAD LUCK for having a stupid one? (I'm talking about KEN...)

We must've hurt you real bad. Tell us more...

biggrin

"The only reason Abramovich bought Chelsea is because without investing his money abroad the russian government would have seized all he owns."

---No, that's NOT the reason.

It's not some touching, high-falutin' reason eitehr. But tax breaks or Russian "economics" were not the reason.

CFC might be many things to ROMAN, but laundering machine we are not...

Typical Scouser, all Mouth, no heart.

You're not needed on the Chelsea board thanks, sunshine, why not go and lick your wounds over your defeat to Marseille.

I thought you were better than that. smiley. What was it you lot keep saying about money buying the title? Not working for you at the moment is it?>

And yes, ChelseaLogic, agree entirely on all your points.

WHAT A WIN IN MESTALLA biggrin

Having watched the Blues play at the Bridge on Wednesday against Schalke i could see sighns of a Chelsea fluencey that had been missing earlier on in the season.Avram Grant is trying to get his players to excite and entertain as well as win games.Against theGermans he used the two full backs pushing up wide on the wings which gave Joe Cole and Florent Malouda licence to roam with more space it looks like Grant favours a 4 3 3 formation like Jose used in his first premiership season. Its hard to compare Duff and Robben with Cole and Malouda but netherless they bring other attributes to the side.Special praise to Paulo Ferrera who must have been close to Jose but has kept his head down and can play right across the back four and who on Wednesday supplied a beautiful cross for the deft header with which Didier scored.
