Dougal admits his error

Well beaten at the end of the day on Saturday, but few would disagree giving that penalty to put Hibernian 2-0 up was not a turning point in the game.

Despite this, credit has to go to Dougal who has publicly admitted his mistake. We’ve already seen a decision at Rugby Park against United this year that changed a whole game, so these things do balance themselves out over the season... I guess.

He is obviously such a good defender that he fools everybody into thinking that he is just fouling when really he is making excellently timed tackles!

it is a disgrace that the yellow card still stands.clayton donaldson got a second yellow against falkirk when he also clearly won the ball.if tv cannot be used to change decisions in real time fair doos.however if it is proved later a player was punished for no reason WHY??? should the yellow or red card stand?!!!!.clubs outside the old firm cannot afford suspension caused by officials errors.

Just remember you owe us a penalty Mr Dougal, a last minute winner against the O.F. will do nicely. winkeye

Straight red cards can be rescinded (ie: no suspension), but apparently yellow cards can't. steam

As yellow cards can't be rescinded I assume that also means that neither can sendings off for two yellow cards, even if both yellow cards are later proved to be wrong. doh

Is this really the sort of consistency the game needs?

Very few refs in the Premiership will admit to more obvious mistakes!

By not rescinding the yellow card it once again proves what a Micky Mouse league the SPL really is.

Remember we only had 18 home games last season out of 38 when we made the top six; what's the chances we get 20 this season in the bottom six with three home games against Gretna?

I think the team is still suffering from Naismith's eleventh hour move to Rangers on 31st August, and we play ICT on Saturday just when they are on the up.

No doubt we`re still suffering from that one mate.... but we`ve just got to get on with it!

Your also spot-on about our `Micky Mouse` league.... which`s bad enough already with that stupid split! The problem here is that we`re only a wee local side & not the media hyped O.F. otherwise Frazer`s troubles would be back page headlines.... & those in the blazers might be pressured to answer!

Yellow card/ red card debate:
Does anyone know if other leagues rescind yellow cards?
How hard can it be?
