Hamilton must grow up......

Formula One

Lewis Hamilton still has alot of growing up to do. The F1 driver is obviously losing the mind games that Alonso has been known to play over the years with competitors, as would any of the greatest drivers that ever came to Formula 1.

Honestly, what is the point of him, going to the media about each and every little thing that happens in Mclaren? It's one thing to update the media and the fans about problems that the public MUST know about, another thing is bringing out all the internal affairs and personal issues to the lights.

Hamilton needs to learn more professionalism. Mclaren, and especially Ron Dennis, must teach him this. I honestly believe he is losing some of his credibility as *a future legend*.

I am a Mclaren fan, and I am both an Alonso and a Hamilton fan. This is in no way the right approach to the problems that might be occuring between these two great men.

Hamilton must step up and be a man and take more responsability for his actions. Both drivers are very competetive, as we all know, and rifts will happen no matter how much they might prevent them, especially when competing for the world title. However, press conferences and statements must be up to the level of competition. In one statement, Hamilton claims that Alonso is heavily favoured with Mclaren, in today's he says the complete opposite. On the other hand, Alonso, no matter how much fire he is under right now from Mclaren, wrongfully I might add in some aspects, he vows to stay with Mclaren and never reveal anything about the team or his teammate.

While in Hungary, Hamitlon was the first on our television screens, claiming that he has no idea why Alonso acted the way he did on the pit lane. After further investigation, it was shown that it was indeed Hamilton's fault for the whole incident. How can he claim that he backs his team and his team backs him completely, when he does not follow orders? If there is anyone favouring Hamilton, over every other driver in the whole competition, it is the FIA and Mr. Bernie Ecclestone.

As for the Belgian incident, it has been done millions of times. Drivers are competitors against each other. Massa did it to Alonso earlier this year, even hitting him to force him off. Sure there was a big rift there, but that's competition. It was dealt with immediately between drivers before podium and was over right there and then.

At the end, if I do not see a great future and an amazing driver in the making, I would not write this or comment about it. I would hate for him to become another Schumacher on the tracks, a good driver indeed, but a very bad competitor and a grouser.

Lewis, dear, if you can't handle the heat, get out of the sun.

"I really do think that Hamilton is losing support with his whinging and whineing, I was a huge LH to begin with then when he started opening his mouth,"

Gawd, I love it. It must hurt to see him on pole. Good.

Hear! Hear!
How many times do we hear "it must be true, I read it in the paper!" yet when you speak to the Celebrity direct they always say "it's a load of rubbish- that's not what I said, or that's not the way it was". So why is everybody getting excited about the press reports? It's only a Media Feeding Frenzy until something else comes along to steal the limelight. In the meantime I see that Lewis made Pole in Japan. His CV is looking good so far for Year 1 of his F1 career. Ignore the Press and look at the results - as seen on TV LIVE!

Wow! what a race.
We can't silence the critics of lewis on this forum - but i have a feeling he might just have done that!
We are watching history in the making. The only black and white issue affecting Lewis and his fans is the chequered flag. What a legend.
To all the miserable critics - a big happy kiss from me! XXX

Yep, good race that. WDC is almost in the bag. A masterclass from LH. Gotta give credit where it's due.

Could you leave the grinning father at home though next season Lewis?

i dont think LH is as great as everyone makes him out to be and he certainly isnt senna or prost... his biggest problem is his attitude i think he is starting to believe the media hype so yeah he probably will win the wdc but lets see next year what happens....

What more could LH do to prove he is a top driver. You say he's no Senna or Prost - it's his debut season!! Oh and he has the same tools as FA and is still beating him.

SAf1fUNDI - You only get top machinery at his age if you're outstanding, he OBVIOUSLY is. There's no other racing driver in F1 history to make the kind of impact as a rookie he has. Emerson Fittipaldi probably comes closest in the 1970 Lotus post Jochen Rindt. As the guy above retorted, he's beating a double and reigning world champion with identical machinery. For the record, as good as Prost and Senna were, they did make stupid mistakes. Hamilton, as yet, has only made a couple of small ones and nothing to that has compromised his position at the top of the table. What morw do you want?

"but lets see next year what happens...."

why do people keep saying things like this. Next year may be different for nothing stays exactly the same. However I do believe LH will beat FA again!

LH will get better. It may be that FA is on a downward curve already... He may have peaked early in his career.

LH cetainly has made the most of his challenges and done more than enough to beat his fellow drivers.
