LankyNorthEnd (U9691786) posted Sep 27, 2007 Why have coaching badges if the authorities don't care whether people have them or not. Also why have badges in the first place, if the club feel that their manager is good enough to manage them then why should he need a coaching badge.

The Answer is NO! (U2233427) posted Sep 27, 2007 Exactly! The other 19 Premier League clubs and those in the CL should be rubbing their hands if they think that some mug without a badge is nothing to worry about!

stevemarkwilliams (U4779492) posted Sep 28, 2007 This decision, and the many more instances of this over the past few years (Southgate, Roeder etc) just makes a mockery of the whole thing. What's the point in having the law there if everytime a club wants to appoint an unqualified coach they just get given special dispensation to do so? A precedent has been set for this now, and any decision other than allowing an unqualified coach to continue managing a team is just going to result in appeals.
