Spurs win 2-0.
Spurs get a clean sheat.
Gareth Bale scores his third of the season.
Martin Jol makes a substitution and he got it absolutely spot on.

Where are all the "fans" praising MJ and the team?

Oh no wait - nothing to whinge about.

I agree Wenger as done a good job at Arsenal but 18 million for Wallcot 1 million for lennon one plays for england the other if he is lucky and wenger as still never found a keeper we pick robinson up for 2 million and at the time there was not better around

This is all part of the game, isn't it? Jol knos he's going (right or wrong), and this is a simple threat. Games. Maybe the fans think he should stay - maybe go. But we don't get a choice. Chelsea fans know that!

Lets not forget about the rift between Jol and Comolli which was partly caused by the players Spurs have bought, which, from what I understand, Jol does not have the final say over. If he was entirely responsible for the buying of the current squad I wouldn't be happy with the current state of things. As it is, I think he's done a great job, and the way he's been treated is a bloody disgrace.

Ok ok, we are taking a while to find our stride and Darren Bent has so far played with all the finesse of a rabid donkey. BUT we are starting to click and i am absolutely certain that MJ is the man to put it together. Just two little things worry me -
1: why cant we defend set pieces with the quality we have at the back?
2: Why in the name of everything that is holy can we NOT DEFEND SET PIECES WITH THE QUALITY THAT WE HAVE AT THE BACK???

I believe that MJ has to go, on numerous occasions he has been tactically inferior to opposition and he has taken the team as far as they can go. Finishing 5th back to back is wonderful and great considering where the team used to finish but in order to get into the top 4 i dont believe MJ can do it. I thank him for what his has done and achieved and acknowledge that he has been the best for a very long time and built something special, but like what happened at chelsea with raneri a few seasons ago its time to take the team to the next level and unfortunately MJ isnt the one to do it.

Jol has been great for Spurs, seeing as he got us to 5th place 2 years running. OK, we have had a very bad start, but from now, things are going to change...

Although I agree that Wenger has made some bad buys, the good far outweigh them. His main bad buy is Francis Jeffers-Reyes played well when he was there, it's just that he was homesick, no manager could predict that and Wiltord wasn't really a failure.

Also, where did you make up your figures? Walcott was £5m, £12m maximum if he becomes brilliant, which knowing AW, he probably will become. What you have to keep in mind is that Walcott has only been with us for a year, and he has had major shoulder problems which he has had to fix and is starting to look better and better. Let's not forget that he was brilliant for U-21 before his injury and Lennon is NOT a full international. He's second choice at best based on performances.

As for Robinson, he's not a great long-term investment by the looks of things and Lukasz Fabianski isn't exactly bad, not to mention that Lehmann wasn't that bad until now, and eve now he's only being judged on the few yet major mistakes that he is made so far (only 2, he should get another chance).

Jol maybe needs to sort his act but because reltionships seem to have soured between board and manager, he may ultimately have to leave just as Mourinho did.

Please listen to what Martin J.says (and he is right) " If you change managers now, you will start dropping back" have patience and all going well we will start climbing. We did not do bad last year ? Spurs have got the magic give them a chance to show it, okay.

GRRRR. Ok i dont care if jol is sucky, many managers couldnt do better and hes only having a bad start, give him a break, HOWEVER i swear if he claims 1 more quality manager couldnt do better i swear im killing him!
So far....
he said mourinho couldnt do better (he could)
he said the youth was better than arsenals (is he joking?)
he said that he couldnt buy the finished product like top teams (didnt he spend 17 million on a striker? arsenal spent 6.....)
GET A CLUE
