We counted slightly more than 5 passes.

It did go on for 3 minutes before Diaby was fouled and you got the free kick. Which you obligingly passed straight back to us - I cheered that too!

I think Newcastle underperformed on the night and I don't expect that to be a reflection on how when we meet in the league.

3 mins is an overexageration, your cheers were met with ironic cheers and laughte in the geordie end but none the less, I agree that you have a fantastic future.

Also I had no idea Bendtner (spelling?) was so tall. One player who I didn't think stood out too much was Walcott, but then for some reason I always expect big things from him and maybe I should wait for him to prove what he can do (which he does when he plays in prem games).

I hope Arsenal continue their run, I am well enjoying watching you lot make Spurs eat their words.

our second eleven is better than many first eleven{s} in the premier leaque i would mention.... the boys are better than men, and Arsene is one better thing that happened the gunners.

Arsenal's on a warpath this year. If walcott can finally start making good decisions in the midfield and the attackers start burying cesc's passes on the regular, there is no limit to what they can do, especially with arsene keeping it cool at the helm.

I watched the highlights before and the first thing that goes through my mind is that Eboue is actually a natural right winger/midfielder, actually rather than Walcott. I just loved the Bendtner goal, it was brilliant play by traore and him. Denilson was just speechless and damn, this is our 2nd first team. If this keeps up...

What wenger is doing is he is using his young team to win the carling cup, they got to the final last year. What it its is matches and good experience for many of the young players. Well Done Wenger!

totally agree on the Eboue thing... they just look so much more dangerous and penetrative when he's out on the right (he has a bit of the Overmars about him).
On Theo... I have only one thing to say - and this goes out to many who expressed concerns this season...

TRUST THE GENIUS!

How much more does he need to do to prove his uncanny eye for young talent... Theo will do the biz. Note what he said last season about Cesc when it mooted that he was close to the perfect midfielder.
The Prof's reply was" No, he needs to score more goals but that will come... probably next season but definitely within the next two"

I went to see the reserves play Lewes in a friendly last night. Everyone seems to rave about our 'next Cesc' - Fran Merida, and in my opinion, duefully so. Wonderful watching a 16yr old (17 next month apparently) caress the ball from one side of the park to the other and firing scorchers towards the goal.
But in my eyes, the main man, who held his own all night with a subtle yet effective display, was Nacer Barazite. Already of significant stature, the most unselfish, promising talent i've seen in a long, long time.

Great things to come...

Well done, Arsene
