rafa & the EPL.

Premier League Liverpool
comment on the article

Does he hate the Prem or is he just clueless? What do you guys think?

Not looking good is it? For either of us!!

It's obvious by most people's comments that rafa is more interested in the CL then the PL. I think the vast majority of you would prefer the PL championship over the CL. Do you think Hicky and Gilly think the same or are they so ignorant of football matters that for them "any" trophy is welcomed, regardless?

What is the point of spending £27m to bring in one of Europe's best strikers if you're going to leave him on the bench??
I, like so many other Liverpool fans am getting soooo frustrated with Rafa's rotation policy.
Stick with your strongest 11. Play them all the time unless you NEED to make changes due to injury, tiredness etc. You can't keep all the players happy all the time. If the backup players want to have a greater role, let them prove themselves in training!! Crouch is not good enough to be chosen over Torres or Voronin anyday, unless they are injured. Babel on the wing - not up front.
Sorry Rafa. I really like you but we want the Premiership!

i really dont know why Liverpool players need to be on the bench when other top team players need not to. I dont even know what is Peter Crouch doing? He cant even direct his headers which suppose to be his strengh, this are the games where we loose ground on our title rivals....We need to show heart like a champion! Please Rafa, dont tinker when we are on a roll or morale is high.

We have paid the price twice in the last ten days or so with a lack of cutting edge. Acknowledge who our impact players are and who our starting line up should be. Already it is difficult to see what Rafa's preferred lineup is.
But let's face the facts. The premiership is won by teams that take the league by the scruff off the neck, choose the best players week in week out (Lampard, Drogba, Terry / Rooney, Ronaldo, Ferdinand) When do you see them on the bench unless there is an injury?

I'd sooner see a player like Torres rested for an away game in the Champions League. Why tire him out chasing lost causes, one of the other strikers can do that donkey work for us. We want to win the league, so pick your best team and win football matches.

It's amazing how fickle fans can be! When we beat Derby 6-0, all the comments were how we going to win the league title and that we were the best thing since sliced bread, blah, blah. Now all of a sudden, three draws(admittedley we didn't play well enough in either of them) and then the issue of rotating comes to the fore again and that Rafa's a bad manager and that he has to go.Kuyt and Voronin up front against Birmingham is more than enough fire-power to win the game, we just didn't play well.End of story - KEEP THE FAITH!

Rafa has got it wrong once again. The same old story of thrown away points that has dogged us for years is happening all over again. His priorities clearly do not lay with winning that elusive premier league title, otherwise he'd be playing our best team week in week out. Why is he resting our best players this early in the season? All was going well, then he decides to "rest" Torres for the last two matches. WHY?
Either it's a lack of respect for the opposition, or he just can't help tinkering with the team, despite the team playing with confidence and scoring goals. You don't need to be a tactical genius to know that you DO NOT change a winning a team.

I honestly thought that we'd push for the title this season, but the last two matches have started to convince me that Rafa is not the right man to do it for us. Three years on, and he still shows tactical naivety when it comes to the Premiership

There is a skill to rotation and rafa doesn't seem to have it. Rotating in games like pompey away is not skill but naivety. whats the point in resting players for the duration of the season if your not gonna be in the title hunty come february, May. Rotating fringe players is fine, rotating influential ones is simple stupid. Rafa's been doing it for 2 years and it hasn't worked so why keep doing it!! Its frustrating everyone. we will be lucky to finish 3rd if this continues..

ROTATION - Aiiiiiiiieeeeeee! Rafa said that we now had two good players for each position, so he's got to start delivering - SOON!!

Poor effort.

Rafa's Rotation was also poor in this instance. Imagine leaving Torres on the bench. doh

Still shocked that we couldn't score against BIRMINGHAM.

I'm looking for better things at Wigan. After 2 nil-nils, I hope we are not losing our scoring touch. We don't want the Arsenal opening up their gap any further.
