Aus v Ind

Twenty20 Australia

The chokers tag has been happily flashed around of late in describing the South Africans but this could just as well apply to the Indians. India have fallen on multiple occasions in games like this although this young team has done well to have come this far. Indians the world over will be hoping for something special from their team today.

The Aussies are favourites to win but have looked vulnerable in this tournament. The absence of Ponting will be a blow and the middle order was worked over by Pakistan the other day. However, the Aussies have dominated India over the past 4 years and will attempt to demolish their opponents tonight as they did with Sri-Lanka in their last game.

Looking forward to a close encounter.

Evening Krickeet,

it was neither..this is twenty20 & we should put things in perspective..this was a match which swung like a pendulum..Aussies started strongly but yuvraj blew them away..70 off 30, 5 sixes, including the biggest of the tournamnet 119m off Brett Lee...Mitchell johnson bowls a good last over that prevents india going past 200...Sreesanth, probably came up with a performance of his life..i have never seen him bowl this accurately before..He bowled both Gilly & Matty..real beauties..Symonds proved a threat, but Dhoni's clever captaincy paid dividends..Can you beleive it, Joginder Sharma bowling the last over...he somehow bowled 6 yorkers!..it was good to watch & i think you should take leave on monday...saves me the time typing winkeye

Yes, Yuvi did repeat his performance & that's an incredibly hard thing to do, especially against the Aussies..the way he was throwing his arms around after taking a catch in the last over, did not look like someone coming form a elbow injury!

Hi krickeet..it was a humdinger as they say. not till the last two overs could you say with any certainity and then when the last over was handed to Joginder, anything could happen. he just plugged them in like TV said, and took wickets to boot.

As long as Matt the bat was there...it was ominous.

Yuvraj, Uthhappa played brilliant innings..with support from Dhoni later.

Pakistan have managed to get to the final without making too juch of a fuss - now i think they will raise their game as they have never beaten India in a world cup competitive match. I think the time has come. Come on Afridi

Thanks bijusportsfan. That seems to correlate with some info I found on the web. It's been bugging me for months now!
