Yuvraj vs England

Twenty20 England

WOW! Just watched Yuvraj smash us all over the place. Hats off to some superd hitting. Well done.

I want England to win of course, but as they're already out, I wouldn't be too displeased if England lost to such a large margin, as I'd quite like to see India progress.

It was good hitting but poor bowling from Broad. Every ball was either big full toss or a length delivery which simply isnt good enough at internation level not to be able to get a single yorker, slower or bouncer in.

What I have noticed with disbelieve is the lack of anyone noticing that this is the first time it ever happened, neither the commentators yesterday not did any article which I have read stated this, but yes Yuvraj hit his six sixes of a FAST BOWLER. Sobers did it against a spinner Malcolm Nash, Gibbs against Dan Vaan Bunge and Shastri against spinner Tilak Raj ( though I heard it was in 7 balls) nevertheless all spinners !

It is a real joke when people compare Yuvraj's sixes with Mascarenhas. Here's how I compare them:
- Mascarenhas hit the sixes against a part-time bowler; Yuvraj against a full-time main bowler
- All the sixes of Mascarenhas were in the same direction and same style. Nothing extraordinary and no finesse. Yuvi was all over the place.
- Mascarenhas hit them against a slow spin bowler, which is a lot easier than hitting a seamer.
- One of Mascarenhas sixes was actually a catch caught by Piyush Chawla. Had Piyush not accidentally rolled over to the boundary line, Mascarenhas would have been back at the dressing room with just 1 six; not 5.
- So, net net: Let's not even compare the two. Yuvraj's sixes are all "pure magic" with not a single flaw or element of luck in them. If you cannot give him the credit, you can do good by simply shutting up.

It was some great striking from Yuvraj, but Broad's over was pathetic. Not one short ball, not one yorker, not one slower ball. Every delivery was in the slot. In this game bowling has to be all about variation!

I witnessed it last night and I have to say I was in awe....I was watching it whilst having a few leisurely pints after work....everyone in the pub just clapped (even some of the women)...and I'm working in London City where people generally only acknowledge/applaude their own achievements!

What an awesome spectacle By Yuvraj Singh and it betters any other player of the same feat as it was against a quality fast bowler!!...
As for England...when will you ever learn to button your mouths (Flintoff on this occasion)because, firstly you look more stupid when you loose and second, the likes of Y. Singh and Zaheer Khan will get you back!!!
