I'm not Scottish, but just a bit dismayed about the lack of 606's for Scotland's game tonight. Would any of our friends from the North like to give us their predictions?

Jim040z - very droll aren't you. I fully expect NZ to beat Scotland relatively comfortably and you don't need to be a Rhodes scholar to figure that one out. The fact that you are wanting Scotland to lose by such a margin is a bit weird though. I am guessing that you are either a)An Englishman who is upset at the total decline of his National side or (b) An Antipodean whose only way to make up for the enormous cultural potato on their shoulder is to make hackneyed jokes about countries that have some historical importance and cultural integrity. In any case, we'll wait and see. The great irony is you 've probably never even played the sport. C'mon Scotland.

Can't wait to Scotland face a real WC opponent on the weekend, come on the ABs. BIG DEAL! 6 tries against an unseeded side. Frank Hadden will probably put out Scotland U-21s against the ABs, to minimise the defeat to Italy. If he does, he's a coward, and he should be seen as such. He should have gone after the 6Ns when his side failed to avoid the wooden spoon. Then jumped around when the strongest possible scottish team beat a second string irish team in the august. Here's to the ABs carving you up and then Italy mopping you up to finish. South Africa to win.

If i were irish, I would be more worried about friday, rather than undermining Scotland performance at the world cup. That's not the irish spirit, guys.

Come ooonn scotland!!

PS: ITV is a complete joke. If tonight would played england. The game would have been on ITV1.

Irish and English, your surely a bit deluded are you not. OK, we haven't played a Major Rugby Nation yet, but what we have played we have put away effectively and we have 10 points. What more can you say at this moment in time. Ireland - 2 very poor performances against Georgia and Namibia. Ask for England, well, disappointing against the Yanks and clueless against South Africa and a Nilling to add. You are saying that Samoa is now the key game for you to qualify umhhhh!!!! I would be worried about Tonga as well. Without the Yanks in the group the Wooden Spoon would not of been out of the question for England in this group. You must be bricking it. A team of HAS BEENS

A Scotland supporter is generally well-meaning towards other teams(with a few anti-English idiots being the exception), and particularly want Ireland to do well. It would seem however, that some of our celtic cousins simply can't handle their team playing badly. Frank Hadden is a quality coach and has brought Scotland close to the standards that they should attain. He has tried to build towards the WC rather than shining in the 6 nations (which Ireland didn't really do in any case). Let's be honest here. The Irish have flattered to deceive and have played nervously and without structure this WC. Also, let's drop the "you haven't played a real side yet". It's not as if Ireland have played any titans of world Rugby yet. Stop slagging off the Scots and worry about your own team. The happy go lucky Irish eh...

So 'In-BOD-wetrust' I take it you can't wait until Ireland similarly face some real WC opponents then?! Scotland can rightly take some confidence into their two hard games (one near impossible) after effectively seeing off the 2 group minnows with an overall count of 14 tries to 1. Whereas Ireland have had two scrappy victories with a count of 7 tries to 3.

Oh by the way I'm half-irish so have been supporting them all the way too, but just find you're comments in slating Scotland a bit pointless given the current state of the Ireland team!

If ireland played romania they would prob scrape a 16-10 win like they have against other big nations. e.g. namibia & georgia 2nd XV smiley

To -In-BOD-wetrust, this is class coming from a clearly very bitter Irishman. Just because your side need the video ref to avoid getting beaten by Georgia doesnt mean you can start slagging off other countries. Granted Scotland's performance wasnt great, but in a potential bannana skin match they conceded 0 points and scored 6 tries. This is the same team that only lost to Italy by 6 points, even playing like that Scotland will beat Italy. "To minimise the defeat" what a joke you are, i look forward to Ireland getting absloutely destroyed by the French and being knocked out of the world cup early as usual. The ALL Blacks are for sure much better than the Scots, but hey they are much better than everyone except the Boks and the Wallabies. So next time Ireland play rubbish, probably friday night dont come onto another teams game roundup and start slagging them.
