What a difference a year makes,eh.
There's little doubt that from the midfield forward WH are lethal and their transition game is first class. The speed they broke from defence to attack at times was bewildering but Cole's miss was an absolute shocker, would have been a gift for Bellamy but it does prove I was right when I kept on about our need for a good 4th.striker.
The downside: There is also little doubt that our defence is very vulnerable to a fast breaking attacker and but for Green's rock solid game, yet again, it could have been much tighter. This is something Curbs will have to address because some of the top teams will give us a lot of problems here.
One last thing. It's looking more and more like Bowyer is one of Curbs gems. It is amazing, with so many new buys still on the injured list, how last years gang are performing, kind of headache every manager loves.

Maybe Neill is suffering from jet lag, didn't Aus play Uruguay a few days ago?

Ferdy was injured during the warm up before the game so Curbs was saying, so not sure how long he will be out for. Chance for Collins/gabbs?

Great start by the boys, still cautious, haven't played the top 4 yet, lets see how the land lies after we play the gooners.

The hammers did well to win 3-0 and it's great that they go 5th, but you have to say Boro did not put away the chances they had at all well. Tuncay missed three, and arca played well, but they flunked it. Great for Ashton though, first premiership goal this season. Hopefully Bellamy's injury isn't too bad.

Good to see Ashton scoring again and WH are riding high at the moment.
Don't get too carried away though, that win yesterday was against a team who will struggle this season.

"southgate needs to sort it out or pack his bags"

Southgate couldn't sort out a fish and chips supper, so I agree, he should pack his bags, if he's able to.
