i hate to say it but KingKennyTopMan is exactly right. hopefully obrian and gardner will replace cid and sammuel. and maybe teimourian will start. we are missing a creative midfielder and if we have diouf, teimourian and alonso on we will do well.

jesus 6 games gone and everyone is on his back. Anelka has been on top form and with the amount of goals he has scored, i can't see how more points haven't been picked up.

Bolton have got the basics, if Lee builds a team around anelka, diouf, nolan and Jusskalainen then Bolton will be comfortable.

A tough CB is what is currently missing and a quality full back and with Stelios back i think the Wings will do for now.

You can't blame this totally on Lee, look at Fulham, rubbish every season yet they spent well over £30 million this summer.

Here are bolton, Uefa cup team for 3 or so years now, and always top 8, who haven't spent that much in 6 years.

The board is where you should be looking, no funding what so ever.

Boltons attack had improved until yesterday, its the defense that needs to be worked out.

Sacking a manager after 6 games will never get you anywhere, look at Charlton last season, continually chopping and changing and it was to late for them to be saved. It took fergie 7 years to win the title, he HAD TO BUILD A TEAM FOR WHICH YOU NEED TIME!

It would be harder to get relegated than not this season, Derby are going out with a bang, Reading's summer signings have been nothing short of inspirational and they are only heading for one place at the moment, as are Wigan.

Sam A must be laughing all over his face. He only appointed Sammy L to position himself for the England job ! He has also rammed Gartside's words back down his throat, after all Gartside claimed credit for our success so is presumably responsible for this mess, althiugh we don't hear much from him nowadays.

Its not Sammy L's fault that he is no good as a manager, just the imcompentents who appointed him. Failure to beat Spurs and Derby means relegation is almost certain.

Thanks for the honesty KingKennyTopMan - you're pretty much spot on. I've always been an advocate of giving SL time .... and looking at the situation at the 10 - 12 game stage, as it naturally takes a while for new systems to bed in.

But yesterday was game 6 ... and it would appear we are going BACKWARDS, rather than making progress ..... that's worrying ....

What the hell was Kevin Davies doing on the bench for all the match? If he wasn't fit to come on ... he shouldn't have been on the bench at all ... if he WAS fit .. his no-nonsense battling qualities and the 100% effort and inspiration he always gives were desparately needed out there ..yet he sat out the entire match ....

Lee should never have been appointed in the first place. He's doing the best he can but unfortunately, it's nowhere near good enough.
If he stays in charge Bolton will go down. Managers need time to settle in to a new club, but Lee came through the ranks.

By the time the board realise they've got it wrong, it may be too late.
Bolton have Spurs and Derby next.
They'll lose against Spurs (even though they are dismal at the moment) and anything but a win against a very bad Derby team will mean the end of Lee.

" Lee should never have been appointed in the first place "

Makes no difference WHO was appointed .... you could have put Jose, Fergy or Wenger in there, and we would be no better off .... if you don't spend money on decent players .... this is what you get ...

The only manager who could turn ' water into wine ' was BS ( the managers above can't even do that ... they rely on buying the best ) and the only other person I've heard of, who could perform the water to wine trick, hasn't been around for a couple of 1000 years .......

I agree, but how much is available to Lee?
Would a different manager have brought in different players to Lee?
I think so. What do you think of the players Lee has brought in and his team selection?

Maybe so ...maybe not. If you only have enough money to shop in Netto, it doesn't matter what you put in your shopping basket ... it will not be of the quality that's needed to make a fight of it in the Prem .....

Sammy Lee reminds me of Graham Souness. Both absolutely useless and in constant denial.

Sammy Lee took over at the end of last season and just did exactly as bad but luckily big Sam left them in a great position to qualify for Europe.

Some people have short memory... SL almost lost their position in Europe with his bad results but teams around you didn't take advantage.

Actually ... that's complete rubbish. The last 2 games of last season - SL played the same team that BS would have played anyway .. AND used the same system that Bolton had played for the last 4 seasons - so any failure to qualify for europe would have been down to the results of the full 38 game season ...not the last 2 ... doh
