I am writing this post for a few reasons,

1 my continued commitment to my team

2 MIKO!!!!!

3 A history lesson i was taught

All of the above are related in one way or another.

Let me start with the disgusting dive with miko, he is a proffesional football player he will do anything to get his win bonus, i despise that fact, i was there when scott crabbe thru his shirt into the crowd on his last game.
That is what football should be about, but that shall never return.... If those out side of the gorgie area believe one of their players wouldnt do the same then i simply call u nieve.

I do not condone the actions of the player I agree that i think hes talented but would prefer if he never wore a maroon shirt again.

That brings me nicely to history lesson.

go onto hearts website and read the extraordinary facts and lives this club has been thru. read of barney battles achievments for the club and the tense times we have been thru... many of these facts i was aware of like players lost to world wars, however i say that the events we are going thru atm is just another saga which we will cope with.

If heart of midlothian are playing sunday league football the fans will still turn out, without a doubt...i know i would and most on forums.

So throw aside the ideas of extinction, whatever Romanovs plans we will survive. its just a matter of how we will continue to do so.

The above also relates to my continued commitment to my side, they may not have the greatest players on the planet..they may not have the greatest stadium, but i firmly believe they have a support which is outrageous in their backing and will continue to be so in the toughest of times.

I will be one of them

Long Live Heart of Midlothian

I personally have nothing but pride in the achievements of this club as a supporter and as a fan.

Miko should be suspended for just being a Hearts player

Miko is far too cute and cuddly to be angry towards.

It's the officials job to spot diving and other forms of cheating and it's not Miko's fault that they didn't do their job properly on that occasion.

The whole thing is silly. As if he were the only guy who ever dived, in Scotland or elsewhere. He did it more obviously than most, but there are players all over, some of them in the SPL, who go down easily. This is just being played up as an opportunity for everyone to vent their spleen on one guy. A form of bullying, if you like.

Firstly @ Kanu's Tribal Dance:

Are you a secret Andy Walker fan? No offence but you are talking drivvle, it's not just the officials responsibility IT IS THE PLAYER'S AS WELL.
It's really quite simple, if he had not dived then we wouldn't be having this conversation; hence it's his own fault. Cute has nothing to do with it unless your a chick or 'that way inclined'.

@ Floridadweller:

The whole thing is not silly. Had Scotland not scored another two goals we could miss out for sure on Euro 2008 because of cheating. For the first time in what seems like forever there is a chance our fine country could be at a Finals again and no matter who, be he french, spanish, ukrainian or whatever, our team should not suffer due to cheats.
Unfortunately for Miko he picked the wrong tournment to do it in and he should be punished severely to make others think twice.
Sure it's commonplace in football but that's because those in power have left it too long before doing something, hell in my opinion a deliberate dive should be a an automatic RED card not a yellow.
Teams should even dock wages from the players, we'll soon see who can play football and who ends up penniless and requests a move to a more lenient diving league - like Spain or Italy.

You'll never eradicate diving. But in my opinion, he's not the only person that should be punished. The referee had a clear unobstructed view of the incident and still called it wrong. He should be disciplined too as ultimately he was in control at that moment.

If the ref had spotted it, the player would have received a yellow card for simulation. Because the ref didn't spot it, he faces a two match ban? Where's the logic in that? Who complained to FIFA/UEFA about this incident? Does this mean that anyone can complain about the referee missing incidents in future and get a full investigation? Great! Let's go back through history and get every match your team has ever lost replayed by a panel of judges and we'll all feel better. Stupid investigation by a stupid authority!

Miko was wrong to dive, the refdidn't spot it so other evidence will no doubt deal with him and should. The self righteous reaction of so many is really just another sham - they would make all the usual excuses if he were one of their players - a fact especially true of old firm supporters. As for some of those in football who have passed comment they need only look among their own ranks for others who have misbehaved similarly. Rangers fans could do well to reflect on exactly what the difference is between Miko's dive and McGregor's kick at Elliot.
Ever since he lunged at the linesman Miko has been a target for the Scottish refereeing "community" and the press, the faint whiff of xenophobia seems to be more evident now than ever before. It goes along with the "he was looking/playing for that" and "he goes down rather easily" comments more usually directed at foreign players - as if the locals are above such "cheating". It really is time to get a grip and a better realistic perspective on all of this.
Let's ditch not just the racism but also the xenophobia.
