I'm quite frankly amazed and staggered at the scale of the penalty received by McLaren and I'm personally pleased that RD will be appealing against it.

On a brighter note, both drivers are still in the running and will trounce Ferrari on the track but my guessing is that this is not the end and they will now go after the drivers to ensure that they have a full red win for 2007.

I'm actually genuinely saddened and devestated at the damage this has caused F1, to quote Eddie JOrdan, this should have been the season to praise. The sport is now in a mess.

agreed, the FIA has shot itself in the head, never mind the foot.

Ron does not deserve this. It's an absolute travesty. I'm utterly disgusted that these witch-hunters have been allowed to succeed. A VERY shallow constructor's title for Ferrari, I'm sure it won't play on their concience.

ForzaNapole!!! - I suppose the fact that Ferrari were found to be breaking the rules earlier in the season is irrelevant?
They tried to cheat so they should be fined and docked all their Constructor points.
But will this happen, no and we all know why!

It looks set up for the appeal. FIA reduce the fine but leave the point deduction in place. $100,000,000 is just totally out of proportion.

Corporations don't get fined $100,000,000 for corporate manslaughter! there's something seriously wrong with this fine.
