Good to see Aurelio back in action.

Premier League Liverpool
comment on the article

He isn't like Riise at left back. Riise likes to drive it in and blast it from afar whereas aurelio plays similarly to Arbeloa in that he creates oppurtunities and doesn't take them. Hopefully he'll be back soon so we can give Arbeloa a rest for a bit.

A recap for anyone confused. Aurelio was rubbish when he first arrived and as a result was left out of the team. He then forced his way back into the team after Christmas and looked an excellent player. Strong in defence. the most accurate crosser of the ball (beautiful left foot). In the build up to his injury I thought he was our best player in the 4 or 5 games previous. Riise and him looked excellent together on the wing and were both very comfortable at interchanging positions and supporting each other. True you can’t expect him to come back and start playing at that level again straight away but we at least know what he is capable of now. Comparing him to Kewell is stupid however ever player reacts differently to injuries – only time will tell . But I’m very glad to see him on the road back to the squad and I hope he can force his way back into the first team again

Glad to see he is coming back, we havent seen enough of his potential from Valencia and hopefully he will add to the current charge we are heading. Come on Fabio!

Tell you what with Aurelio coming back along with Gerrard and Carragher that leaves only that crock Kewell as our senior unfit squad player how good is that? We'll need a fully fit squad if we're to win the league. C'mon lads if you can believe it, it can happen!

Oh and Rafa please sell Kewell to whoever needs or wants him!

Yeap, Kewell has is a write off and no one will buy him. Liverpool will probably release him when they get someone else to cover. Thats why Aurelio is important, he gives one more optio to Rafa. Aurelio left back, Riise left midfield. Both can defend and cover each other. Aurelio is quite good with overlaps and crosses and when Risse gets the chance he can hammer a left drive like few can. I have the feeling that this would have been the Liverpool left hand side pairing agains t AC Milan if Aurelio had been fir. Aurelio, Riise, Leto and Babel will fight it out for 2 positions, and with so many games they are all needed.

NO! Kewell is good left winger he has just been unlicky with he lenghty injuries he has had but that i sin his past.
He is a bit like Kieron Dyer great player but has been plauged with injuries and that's the same case as jonathan Woodgate.
