i think we need an attacking midfielder. we've got too many defensive battling types. that's all well and good but some impetus has to be put on midfielders driving forward. gascoigne was a perfect example or someone like bobby charlton. sure, we'd be the luckiest team in the world to find someone like that but here's hoping we get lucky and find a quality attacking midfielder.

as for the left side i agree with you. however, i think quedrue will do a good job for us. if not, then simply replace him but i thnk he deserves a chance. was a great little player when he first came to england. also we have mc sheffers for a left striker, in my eyes he's a goodun who will come good given a few chances.

as for owen coming here i would very much doubt it. he's always injured anyway. viduka can stay away as well. too old and slow now. will probably have a decent season with n castle if he stays fit but he'll head back to ozzi land after that and play for sydney or someone similar. lastly, i think selling pennant was a great bit of business by blues. decent little player but was not worth what liverpool payed for him.

English talent is always more expensive (I would have suggested Onuoha) so the Blues need to look at cheaper but efficient markets such as the French and the Portuguese markets.

I think you missed my point!

I never mentioned owen as a target for us, i just used his name as an example, my point was if in January a Good Striker came along for a good Price that cant be missed, say £10M player for £7M, this would not solve the missing LM problem, thats all.

And about Viduka i was not impying we get him, just that he was free but worth £5M or so. So my point is getting a player who is worth £4-6M for LM, thats in value this player could be a loan or free, like Oubina is free i.e Loan, but is a £6M rated player.

Looking at the BBC update for Blues, Bruce is keeping a eye out for Free/Out of Contract players, now this shows me the Board is not going to spend any money, i think Sulivan has washed his hands with us, and Gold will not be spending vast amounts that will benifit the new owner but not him.

Overall not a good sign at all...

10/10 for building a side from Championship Domination, 5/10 for building a side to get out of Prem bottom 5!

How about Steve just buys a whole new starting 11. You haven't got a team even close to quality. If Potatohead Bruce really wants to go out there and buy some quality, he'll need to start from scratch.

You bluenoses are so lost in the Premiership, not anywhere you belong. I can't wait for April for the derby to knock you losers back to the Championship.
