This is the biggest match of the summer as both teams can still win the trophy.
India have the momentum with them because they have won the last two matches and I think that they will win.
England should have won one of the games but they are going to have to do it the hard way today.
I think that it will be a high scoring match as the pitch is a good batting wicket andI hope it will be a good game.
I think India will only just win though but we are more than capable of winning ourselves.

“Poor appreciation of the Realities of playing cricket” indeed . . . . Sometimes you guys miss the point – Indian fans are passionate about cricket and Tendulkar is their cricketing hero. We were desperate to see Tendulkar get a century in probably his last series in England and therefore have been rightly disappointed by the umpiring decisions and which has been compounded by the number of incorrect decisions against him. It is obvious that we are going to vent our feelings accordingly – many ‘Indian Fans’ may not have played or watched cricket extensively but at least they are at matches supporting and commenting in these Blogs. This is good for cricket and so good for cricket in England. In my experience of watching both Club and County cricket I find still that there is an air of smug-ness and hypocrisy from a certain minority of “England cricket” fans and this is evident in these Blogs. Please remember that many fans understand that decisions do even out over a series and the overall result from the two series this summer was fair – of course India winning the one that counts. The cricket players/watchers will also know that Anderson and Flintoff probably won the match for England and Tendulkar’s dismissal may not have changed the eventual outcome but do remember for some a Tendulkar century in probably his last international in England at the home of cricket is as good as it gets.

"Pietersen is still a key player for England and let us not be hypocrites we would have the equivalent of the wailing wall over here if Pietersen going well in an ODI was wrongly given out and England lost"

Probably true of a bunch of people but I'd still think they were deluded and poor losers for calling the umpires cheats. In fact I said as much on here about the football fans who came piling on to complain about the 6th ODI. They're only fooling themselves. So what if it's a key player - they don't get three lives just to keep fans happy and all the whining just assumes they're not genuinely out in the next few balls. Umpire mistakes happen - they're only human and I challenge the many people accusing the umpires of cheating to go out there and be 100% correct. It's very easy for us to sit at home watching hawk-eye and stuff and criticise the umpires. The final match however was so one-sided that one mistaken decision hardly warrants a mention.

Poor fielding was far more costly to India during this series than any poor decisions.

I agree pooor fielding was a major cause

And I do not think any fan was calling Dhar a cheat, just upset with a poor decision. I also deplored the booing, Dhar is a very good umpire

re: medium-pacer

Sadly, quite a lot of people have accused the umpires of cheating if you look back over the posts for all the matches. If not exactly using the word 'cheat' it has certainly been inferred. For example until the final match most of the criticism was about only having one neutral umpire thereby inferring the host country's umpire was cheating. Aleem Dhar at least put a stop to that nonsense! Without me even having to look far, a few posts above here skireland accuses Dhar of foul play. Yes, I understand the disappointment, I've been on the end of it as a batsman never mind watching it but the ones who start accusing the umpires of cheating are taking their disappointment too far.

Ha ha... so now Aleem Dhar wasn't a neutral umpire either? Okay, thanks for proving my point.

Dhar is professional

I am sure he has the integrity and class to know he is an ICC Umpire of Pakistani origin, rather than a Pakistani Umpire officiating on behalf of the ICC

ON Intergrity, I did make a few jokes of Ian Gould sharing a beer later with Broad, but those were in jest, maybe in bad taste, I do not think any umpire these days is biased as they are all professionals, good or bad
