I agree with most of your team selection Dyegreen. I'm not sure about Hunt though. He looked good coming off the bench against Wales and Slovakia at home but he was poor in the States and against Denmark. However I don't think we really have an alternative with Finnan being out and having to slot Zinidine in at left back.

With regard to Gibson, I wouldn't risk playing him in case there is some issue over eligibility and we could end up being docked points. I know he should be able to play for us but the IFA will fight this all the way. They'd rather he never played international football than play for Ireland.

We should win today, player for player Slovakia are no match for us and I think there is a new confidence in this Irish team. I'll go for a 2-1 Irish victory.
Whan the lads.

i have great confidence in this squad thin as it maybe but the team who scraped a one nil against the slovaks earlier in the tournament where playing with no confidence and we where fortunate to take the points, this time the slovaks are in for a bit of a shock, there up against an irish side brimming with confidence and i dont see any problems, so dont worry lads there will be no chewed finger nails tonight, a few sore heads in the morning and wednesday the day booked of work, this game against the czechs will be a fingernail bite game but alas a point will be the least we may get, but start saving your euros we have a wee trip coming up .

"God hell no! Under no circumstances should we resort to Kilbane at right-back?! Do we have any other options?!"

Better off playing with 10 men, Kilbane is a liability.

Does anybody else think Kevin Kilbane is the worst player ever to wear an Irish jersey? How he has played over 40 internationals in a row is beyond me. In fact how he's a professional footballer puzzles me.

Nigel needs to wise up too. Gibson has an Irish passport, therefore, he is eligible to play for the Republic.

Kilbane neither has nor ever will be deployed at right back. He's can play left side.

It looks like Kevin 'Zinedine' Kilbane shall be showing off his Influential skills at LB. Will we witness a new Roberto Carlos?
