Please DO NOT liken JJ to Beckham. I like both players but see no grounds for that comparison. Can you say Blaire is (was) UK's Bush, or Bush is US's Hitler, or Devil is Hell's God? What are you guys talking about. I am very cross at that comparism!!! Let me repeat it to hear what you really said: JJ is African's Beckham. Tufiakwa!!! [Meaning, God forbid!!]

Now you have lost me as well!

Just saying that people should look at their individualness than their likeness. While Beckham is a footballer gathering some extras in modelling, JJ is a fine footballer who prides in that. It doesn't take being like Beckham to be the JJ people love; and back in his native Nigeria he is not as much an issue as Beckahm is - he is loved for being the one who takes the nation's name to competitions and brings songs back. Are you still lost? I will call 999 to help find you!

Jay Jay might not get the recognation he deserves maybe bcos of certain factors or footbal politics, but some players in this world that people shout about can't actually express themselves on the ball as jay jay would have done but i'm sure where he's from he's celebrated.I have been opportuned to follow him since 94 and i know the world will soon stop seeing one of the finest footballer the game has produced... sentiment apart. He played in the PSG mid field that includes ronaldinho

How many old prem stars can 1 team handle? I liked JJ, Barmby, Elliott, Windass, Mills etc etc etc but can't help thinking how many old boys can a squad handle? I'd love to see you do it with all these players but your swuad is starting to resemble to Carlsberg advert with Jackie Charlton running around in a pair of shorts!

That would be a valid concern ... if it were true. Danny Mills recently signed elsewhere after Phil Brown made clear that he had no intention of signing him, and the only Elliott in the City squad is Stuart who is not an ex-Prem star and has only just turned 29 years old.

Clearly, Okocha, Barmby and Windass are not the foundation of a long-term core for the team, but there are plenty of younger players in the squad and I welcome their influence and experience in attempting to move City onward and upward.

Seems I started a bit of a storm there with the Jay Jay v Beckham comment. I would never compare them like for like as players as they are very different, however both very good ambassadors of the game. The comparison then is more the impact they will have raising the profiles of their respective teams LA Galaxy and the Mighty Hull City because of their fame in their respective continents. No offence to anyone intended. All hail Jay Jay.

I guess you could compare JJ with Beckham in the sense they are both ending their career in sub-standard leagues, with poor teams, but that is where the comparison ends.

Oh so now the English League is sub-standard??? lol

do u mean to say he's playing in the championship??but it's still English League.some present premierleague team came from the so- called sub standard league and won.Sunderland 1- t.ham 0
I think beckham is playing for the money now as jay jay too that was why he went to qater, they are both just enjoying the game now and making some good money.wetin now and 2 years they might not be there no more
