JasonDH_LFC (U9037956) posted Sep 11, 2007 now might be a very good time for the Glaziers to get out actually. Their debt was actually financed using a large CDO (collection of Credit Derivatives). With the current credit problems in the market they may have been advised that their position is becoming shakey. Can't remember the structure of the CDO that was put together for them and what it's market coverage was but when faced with potentially huge losses or a quick £200M profit - I know what I would do!

mightyJamesyboy (U13664256) posted Oct 30, 2008 Listen stop worrying! The Glazier's have been great for manu. I can't believe anyone would crib about them. We've had nothing but success. If they move on I for one wish them well. As long as david gill and Sir alex are given free reign then who cares who comes in as long as they have the cash to back up Sir Alex's requests it's fine by me. I worry about FIFA coming in and making it hard for us with a debt, that is easily , manageable and is the same as any other large company, they want the english out of football. FIFA are a bunch of recists, they hate the english teams dominating and the success of the prem and they want to stack the deck against manu, chelsea, arsenal, liverpool et al. Without doubt if I were wishing to buy a football club there's only one to buy and that's manu. it's a no-brainer, absolute banker, the only one that is and much more to come. The Dubai group know that and won't want second best, neither do the chinese, why buy second best when you can buy a winner. Of course these groups are interested, it's flattering! As long as Sir Alex and David Gill say ok and the great squad of players who love the club as much as we fans do aren't unsettled in any way then bring it on. I won't be giving up my 2 seats anytime soon. Time to move on, as long as Alex's dear wife says he can stay as manager, please Mrs ferguson just five more years, then who cares. A personal thanks to the Glaziers and a fond farewell.Let's open up China or Dubai and the Emirates. Comment on this article |
