Kenwyne Jones worth 6 million?

Premier League Sunderland

comment on the article

Sunderland have signed Southampton striker Kenwyne Jones for £6m, according to the south-coast club.

Keane told his club's website: "I'm delighted that Kenwyne is a Sunderland player. He was very keen to join this club and that is always a good thing.

"He is a big strong boy who is quick and athletic too. He has real physical presence and is the type of player we've been missing." BBC SPORTS.

Now many asked if Chopra was worth 5 million and he quickly showed he has the qualities of a top striker in taking his goals but is Kenwyne Jones really worth 6 million? He seems to be a good player who could make it in the Premier League.

I would presume that Jones and Chopra would play up front together and the partnership could work so is he worth £6 million? Will he make a good Sunderland player? Your thoughts...

Shut up you scouse g*t.....Roy Keane is the man who will take us into the Premierships top 7 !
It's easy to critis isn't it, how much did you lot pay for Beattie....and you then wrecked his career by not playing him in the position in which he excelled (as a centre forward).

Ha ha. Reading all these posts shows just what some people know. Jones not worth £6mill? If he hadn't been injured we could easily have sold him this transfer window for about 10 - 12 million.

I think, irrespective of his goals tally, his worth to Sunderland in the lone striker role last season was invaluable.

Kenwyne impressed everyone and is a huge miss to our team thanks to that idiot David James.

Kenwyne would easily command a £10-12m transfer fee, but I'm afraid he aint for sale!

To all of you nay-sayers who said he was rubbish and over-priced, and to those of you who condemned us to the drop, and to the Derby fan who said he'd rather be in Derby's position than ours, I have one thing to say to you:

"YOU'RE NOT SINGING ANY MORE!"

I hope they will be singing at the end of the season when Keane's smug arrogant pathetic grin is wiped clean from his face.

Thought some people might like to look back at this article. My favourite quote from it is:

"i'm a derby fan and yes we're almost guaranteed to go down (judging by our early performances), but i'd rather be in our position than sunderland's."

Absolutely priceless that one.

Look how Eastwood is doing now and look how Jones is doing now.

Now tell me who was the better buy.
