whosethefoxhat (U9540248) posted Aug 30, 2007 Funny thing Robbie Savage hated by everyone (bar for leicester fans)Neil Warnock hated by everyone (bar blades fans)One of the less politicaly correct managers who says what he thinks. Not an ex player who call themselves managers, people who tow the line of the FA.I suppose Martin never had a whinge in his time. As for MM , great we can buy players, oh but he likes to spend his money his way .No lets get rid of him and all have a collection.

smiggy01 (U9531329) posted Aug 30, 2007 Think Pompey, took them from the bottom of our division to top 7 team in Premiership last year. He may be everything that people have said about him, but he does succeed. People at the top unfortunately tread on toes on the way.

SON OF A FOX (U9044367) posted Aug 30, 2007 Good comment I completly agree I also heard similair rumblings from somebody in the know-now I know people will want to know who do you know? where did you hear this? but that I cannot divulge least to say he is a proffesional person linked with football (although not a player)-not directly linked to Leicester either-but I was told this in a phone call as long ago as after the Portsmouth friendly.

CV5fox (U9204563) posted Aug 31, 2007 This is my first entry on 606, so I am a virgin! I can't believe that you think he is a legend after 4 games? A few good words on that Q and A night and he is putty in your hands. Everything he said that night is now complete bo££0CkS. The 'WE LOST OUT ON NOBODY, THEY LOST OUT ON US?!!' line was rubbish and getting the team to do jobs around the stadium will not win the league. They should stick to their job on the pitch, which to be fair they have not. 1 nil against Accrington is rubbish, 1 down to Forest at half time, lost 1 nil to Blackpool. C'mon guys wake up. Yes he has not been given a fair chance, but do you think he would go by mutual consent if he was not in the wrong at all. Course not, he would hold out to get the sack for his 3 years worth of salary. As long as we don't get Roeder! Allen knew waht Maderic was like and so did the fans, he will get involved with the team, as he did at Pompey. But if we are where they are in 3 years, who cares?

clarkmartin (U1822733) posted Aug 31, 2007 If it was about signing Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink, I have to side with Mr Allen. I watched J-FH a few times at Charlton last year and he was s...l...o...w. Plus he did not look motivated. He was just going through the motions. J-FH is well past his sell-by date. (Watch him score 30 for Cardiff now just to prove me wrong!)

swadfox (U9542745) posted Aug 31, 2007 Although I'm not advocating Warnock as the manager, I'd like to point out that his Track record is not just 1 promotion (as drrugbyfox suggested), he has taken 5 clubs to higher levels .He took Scarborough into the League, He got promotion with Notts County to the old Div 1, he won Play-off finals with Huddersfield and Plymouth and then won promotion with Sheffield United. Personally I think MM will go for somebody totally unexpected, I mean who suggested Nigel Worthington before he appointed him, it probably will be the unknown serb !

truebluevanman (U2179889) posted Aug 31, 2007 Everyone seems to have made some good points - but surely LCFC is bigger than one manager and one chairman? How many of you were at the City Ground the other night? We were a very poor second to an average side. Milan must take some of the stick for creating yet another 'average' Leicester side, we're mid-table at best unless we can find someone worthy of working p front with Hume [DJ doesn't seem sharp enough to me], and a keeper able to control his 18 yard area! Allen is the fall-guy here and I wish him well, but as someone else has said, getting players to do chores around the ground isn't the stock of champions and his weird ideas have obviously stuck in MM's throat. None of us knows what went on in that dressing room on Tues night but my guess is that is was the last straw for MA or MM hence this mess we're now in. We're all judging our 'ideal' for a manager against Martin O'Neil - but those days are now gone and we're no longer a BIG club in most people's eyes. We may have to accept a meddling chairman and a mediocre manager, and therefore a mid-table team for a while to come. MM has saved face this time, but if we have another 'failing' manager around Xmas then like it or not Milan's going to realise that the people of Leicester will hold him responsible for the plight of the club and not the manager. In that regard it doesn't matter who he appoints. But I'd bet my money it won't be Warnock - who I'd have over any of the others personally. PJ won;t take the job as he won't fancy tackling a meddling chairman, so we're left with also-ran's I'm afraid. I wish MA every success for the future, and I'm sure given the chance he'll do well somewhere but he's not Premiership class IMO. City till I die [with or without average chairmen, managers, players].
