CaptnGas (U9527911) posted Aug 29, 2007 Someone made me laugh on another forum when they said, 'If Jacobson hadn't broken his leg, then Bowyer would have probably done it in training anyway'. posted Aug 29, 2007 Im sorry but its been killing me all day about what Curbishley has said. Yes he may be frustrated about what has happened but there was and still is no need to for him to hit out at Jacobson like that. For starters IT WAS AN ACCIDENT!! Get over it Curbs. 2nd, Curbs is a high figure in football and he should know better to express his feelings like that in public. Its disappointing to see a manager under pressure like what he already is in as he has spent millions on players and already struggling. Blaming a accident which happened yesterday will be his excuse for being relegation battlers or either being sacked.

Wildsnoopster (U1038937) posted Aug 30, 2007 Not sure the tackle was that bad. I am a WHU fan and although I am concerned that Dyer will be out for a year (remember Ashton's ankle) I thought, after hearing AC comments, that the Bristol Rovers player kicked out at him. It just looked like a footballing incident. I wish Dyer all the best and hopefully he will return to action soon.

phillyboyhammer (U6723354) posted Aug 30, 2007 I don't believe it was an accident as some suggest but I also don't think it was vindictive. I do believe the offending Bristol player lashed out perhaps in frustration at Dyer going by him and was therefore guilty of being petulant - not realizing or expecting the outcoming result of his actions as we all know was breaking Dyer's leg but that's football it's a physical game. I can understand Curbishley's comments based on that. Perhaps Jacobson has to examine his conscience in that regard. Plus there must be a certain frustration within the W Ham camp at the minute at all the occuring injuries. Which is bordering on the ridiculous.

quiteWHUFC (U9557069) posted Sep 1, 2007 Ok firstly to all those bristol rovers fans out there who think they deserved to win, it is as the commentator said.Your two divisions below for a reason, yes on the off chance you will beat a premier team. But you spent ten minutes out of your half in the first half of the match, Bellamy scored two brilliant goals and your team was falling to pieces. The foul on Dyer wasnt intentional it was just ridiculous, how sloppy and unprofessional of a tackle is that especially from a player bristol rover fans are saying is top quality! We slacked in the second half becuase we could afford to and we nearly made it 3-1. So count your blessings that we didnt go full throttle the whole game. Another thing gashead1883, west ham in trouble? being 8th in the league doesnt look bad to me and spending millions and millions? If you look at how much we spent and made we spent no more 6 or 7 million. Nothing compared to other clubs. And we all know the carling cup is a piece of shit compared to the FA, UEFA and the Champions league none of which Bristol Rovers will ever win. So dont resent the fact that West Ham are 2 divisions above, that we have a stadium that is used purely for football not rugby and that we have money to spend. And trooper, firstly you are a complete mug. Dyer was out for nearly all of last season and before that he played brilliantly, hes 8 million prive tag comes for a reason not becuase hes 'just fast'. So to bristol fans and the mug that is trooper, learn how to take defeat properly, dont chat crap and teach your players how to start playing professional football instead of sunday league. posted Oct 7, 2007 quiteWHUFC Comment on this article |
