Sunday's Premier League action

Premier League
comment on the article

A relatively quiet Sunday in the Premier League - but trying telling that to fans of Manchester United, Middlesbrough, Newcastle and Tottenham.

First up is Boro against the Magpies. A win would give them north-east bragging rights and boost their Premier League hopes.

And then United host Spurs where a victory is vital for both, so it is all set up for a cracker of a match.

I'll be keeping across things on the BBC Sport website and can't wait to hear your thoughts throughout the afternoon.

Babel is uncut as Nani is uncut.

Nani looks far better.

Babel is clumsy and silly, like an overgrown child.

I predict failure...

United aren't one dimensional at all.

Steve Coppell pointed out what a nightmare it is defending against our floating front three.

Hargreaves brings in all kinds of options too.

Even last season we played far more formations than your knowledge starved brain would suspect.

Chelsea are dropping the diamond this season (José's words). So where does that leave them on the versatility front?

The only difference between Liverpool, Chelsea and United is that we won the league and you finshed miles off.

We also reached the semi's of the CL - despite horrendous defensive injuries and fighting on three fronts in the toughest league in the world.

There's your difference son.

CL semis, Premier League champions, fa cup finalists with a broken back four and no versatility.

Yeah right...

If I'm not mistaken, weren't Ronaldo, Rooney and Scholes all on the same pitch at home, in front of their own so called 'inspiring' fans, against Reading FC?

Didn't Nani also come on? Surely Tevez played too, right?

doh

Tevez / Nani haven't even clicked into place and you're including them in United's catalogue of 'untouchable' players.

Ronaldo and Rooney, based on last season, ARE those players.

Scholes is reliable.

Ronaldo had a great season last season that I, personally, can't see him surpassing.

I don't think United's 'untouchables' will be invincible this season.

It's my opinion - no harm intended.

Rooney was injured against Reading.

Tevez has as much chance of shining at OT as Torres has at Anfield: you must know this?

I repeat.

Nani will settle in and provide cover.

Tevez will shine when paired up with another striker - any of them would do!

I'll give Liverpool Pennant and Torres. If they shine Liverpool will perform well.

But Hellers is quite right; Liverpool aren't the finished article, I believe United are.

I'll tip us for the CL this season, in fact I'm going for the double if we can improve on the injury front this time around.

Pie,

I'm sorry but comparing Babel to Nani is a touch unfair.

Nani looks good I credit, very good in fact but he has been played in his best position, i.e left wing.

Babel has also been played on the left wing but this is definately not his best position. If you watch him play his instinct is to cut inside and shoot.

I suspect we will see the best out of Babel when he is played throught the middle, his time will come Im sure. One start and two sub appearances in is well too early to start judging in my book.

I suspect you threw that jibe in to be provocative.

Right well, I hate repeating myself dude, so ... I'll just leave this on my history.

When you're weeping, crying that you had no cover for one of your defenders, making up excuses because you crash out of Europe once again, I'll remind you of this conversation.

The key factor in this debate is goals.

Whoever scores the most goals this season will finish the higher.

Simple as that.

I suspect that Chelsea will finish higher than both of us in any case.

I don't. I believe Liverpool will finish higher than both, defying the odds.

Well, maybe I don't think that concretely.

Perhaps a hint of wishful thinking too.

But, providing we make no stupid slip ups, and providing we defeat every team we should on paper - it's ours.
